To answer the original question of how long the rumors have been around......since Johnny got in the game, in the mid 80's. Once anyone met him you knew the deal. I confirmed he slept with a male family member of mine who's father had set up Johnny and Stacey on a double date with his son and daughter. Johnny made passes all night at the male date partner and sent a limo back to the guys house after the date so when dude sneaked out of his house the limo took him to the hotel. Dude that slept with Johnny was shocked when Johnny joined New Edition since his personality and manerisms seemed polar opposite to New Edition. That's Show Business. Johnny gotta eat too.
I can't front, he can sing rings around most of these fools on the radio and BET. I would buy his next album. I don't think people care who or what he's sleeping with. From first hand experience he's far from the only one, people should give him a break because of his talent.
Johnny Gill has an amazing voice. His Timbre and tonality are unbelievable. I'm in love with his voice. But dude has sugar in his shoes, and he is a liar. He went so far as to give interviews talking about how many women he's "knocked down" , and even went so far as to have a baby when those Eddie Murphy rumors were at it's highest point. Sometimes I have to remind myself that just because someone is a brilliant singer, doesn't make them brialliant, because Johnny says some stupid stuff. Ie. That intimidation tactic YouTube clip that was posted eariler.

Thanks for mentioning that. I don't understand how anyone could forget about that episode. Johnny was acting very effeminate. Plus, his hot pink shirt and cute little nose ring were dead giveaways. I didn't believe the rumors until I saw that show. Funny how no one mentions this when the subject of Johnny's sexuality pops up.
The rumors about The Boule goes decades back. I've heard about it within discussions of Louisiana History. I had no idea The Boule also existed in Georgia History until I've seen that video on YouTube.

One of the unexpected highlights of this thread was the people confused by "tea." I was going to use the term in my first response but I figured some folks didn't know what that was.
