Not really a tempo change, so much as it becomes more rhythmic. It is a grand part of the song though. Janet's song is good, but it's just a pop song, and a filler track. "the Lady In My Life" could have been a single, and should have been one. It was gonna be, but they decided 7 singles were enough  "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them.
