I love love love Syreeta - but this is not to my liking. The recording makes her sound odd to me. "Love Child" belongs to Diane, ain't no question.

Sunny - have you ever heard Lady T sing "Lovebug"? She can really nail a Ms. Ross thing if she wants to.

Dang, I knew I shouldn't have brought it up. I mailed the tape of an old radio interview to someone to record and put on the Yahoo site; I never got it back - dumbass!!. It's not that long of a clip, but back in 1984, or so, she was being interviewed and reported that the first song "I really remember running out of the house to buy" was ... and then she cut into the chorus, "the love bug done bit me, I didn't mean for him to get me." It was rich. She has a tiny bit of tribute to Diane on Sapphire - know what I'm talking about housequake? [On that long gone tape was also an an interview where she sang a little bit of "Cupid Is A Real Straight Shooter", to celebrate Valentine's Day, about 5 years before that song came out.]

Not as well received as I would have hoped. Romantica is a phenomenal tribute to Rick. Love is a Gangsta is really much deeper than it looks - "gangsta" is used in a much broader sense and is crazy-Dre good. T and her daughter are beautiful together on Resiliant. Youtube the tracklisting and a good measure of them are available there, or just order it - you are bound to like much of it considering your love of MY girl Syreeta and, of course, Sylvester.
