Seriously. I dig constructive criticism of her music. As a big fan, I don't like all of her music either, though I like/love most of it actually. I can understand people not liking her vocal stylings(I don't understand how anyone can say she can't sing at all).

It seems to me, that sometimes people, especially in here, really take it personal that Beyonce is even in the industry. Even if you don't like her music, there are millions who do and think she is a genius at what she does. If it's not the songwriting, then it's stage costumes, if it is not that then it's the Destiny's child "scandal", and if it is not that, then it is something else.

So my question, why do you really hate on her? I mean, her music can't bring that much passionate against her?

Pretty much sums up what I've seen on the board. Personally, I think something is wrong when the defining moment of her career consists of her dancing to a Bob Fosse routine move for move in a black leotard and an MJ lookalike glove, singing about Single Ladies (if you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it??)

Bare with me here, there is a point...

My girlfriend used 2 be a member of the website "Second Life". She played it quite a lot and got pretty good at it. She used 2 build virtual houses on there and some of them were stunning, beautifully designed and very well crafted but if she was given the tools could she build a real house in the real world? No, not a chance, cuz it's a completely different thing.

Same thing goes with 99% of artist 2day, (Beyondme included) they can make synthetic virtual music on a computer but when it comes 2 making real music in the real world they haven't got a clue. Damn though... If U hear them talk, they don't mind making people think they do.

There are many things a computer can do but one thing it can't, and it never will... Is play from it's heart. And that right there is my problem with modern music. It has no heart. Beyonce can't sing from her heart with real soul like Aretha Franklyn, Janis Joplin or Koko Taylor. And her backing tracks are completely souless. Her music, like most others 2day just doesn't "Move" me at all.

Thats why I don't like her and all others like her.

Some years ago I just didn't give a hoot about her or her music...

Now, I HATE her music with a passion, and I still don't give a hoot about her ...

Maybe Im in the minority but shes pretty good to me. I mean she's not anything thats super unique but shes a good dancer and singer.

I don't hate the girl, I just hate how her pimp,,,,I mean daddy, hype her like she's the best thing since artificial dicks. Those people took the "strike while the iron is hot" to the EXTREME level.

But hey, I own her debut solo album(which I STILL listen to and enjoy very much) but she lost me to the left! to the left! all the way to chickenheadville after that.

Hell, comparaing to the folks nowadays, the girl has a nice voice,,,and with good material, she might pull it off enough to make your avarage music snob pay attention So, yeah, she's talented, but sadly she waste it on triflin ass material(to her defence though, she's not alone on that boat,,,,the once acclaimed vocalist of our time Ms.Mariah Carer is a victim of this bullshit as well).

As for movies on the other hand, she's NOT an actress,,,,she's just a high paid 3rd wheel who could make a mannequin looks like a bundle of open nerves.

How can you hate someone you don't even know?

There's nothing wrong with disliking her music. I don't like her music.
However the fact of the matter is that the girl can sing and perform.
As far as her live show goes, i'll say this, you never have to ask Is it live, or is it Memorex?
I'll also give her credit for putting together an all female band made up of musicians that can actually play.

As for being overexposed, maybe those that feel that way should consider expanding their musical horizons.
I listen to and watch a great deal of music from numerous sources and I never run into her material.
To tell you the truth, the only time her name ever comes up for me is when i'm here.
