That's because those assholes enjoy watching two women together because their little jalapeno dicks aren't big enough to satisfy a woman so they get off on watching someone that actually can satisfy a woman. And then they have the nerve to even ask lesbians if they can join in and have sex with them. Well, I guess so. It's not often that a lesbian gets with a man, if ever, so she's not going to know if a dick is good or not because it's something she's not used to. But a straight woman who is used to dicks would laugh their little vienna sausages out of here. And then they have the nerve to hate gay men. Oh, it takes me to talk about those hypocrital assholes. I've had years of practice. lol

Exactly. nod It's the myth that all lesbians would allow a man to get involve to make it a threesome. Never mind the reality that lesbians want women only.

I can never tell fellow straight men anything. disbelief But yet, they'll be the first to bitch about their wives/girlfriends leaving them for other women. Idiots.
lol
[Edited 11/23/09 22:04pm]

And then that ignorant shit about "they just haven't had the right man yet". What the hell is so hard to understand that they don't want any man? They've got the whole straight world to search for women but they want to get up in the lesbians' faces and disrespect them. These dykes need to start beating some ass. lol

i distinctly remember coming out in my sophomore year of highschool and this guy in my religion class asked me. "You mean if two girls were making out in front of you, you wouldn't go to town on them" and I couldn't even begin to make him comprehend they probly wouldn't be interested in a guy getting in between them...
oh straight men...
[b][Edited 11/24/09 5:49am]

I tell my lesbian friends all the time how to deal with those bastards and it usually works. Tell that son of a bitch that yeah, he can join in if he wants to. Then tell him that his part will be to bend over and get fucked in the ass by a strap-on and that's the only joining in he can do. No touching, no getting his dick sucked, and no fucking. Just strictly him getting fucked. Those are the terms, take it or leave it. Watch how fast the assholes run. lol

So because she's bisexual female she shouldn't be addressing misogyny only homophobia? Why would addressing misogyny be considered a dicing of herself into parts? I did not get what you were trying to say. confuse Nobody said one part should get first dibs but evidently one part got no dibs. I don't think anybody would accuse her of scapegoating hip hop when black women have come out against it. Hip Hop is no respecter of race when it comes to dogging women. Nobody is bringing up her race or accusing her of scapegoating hip hop when she talks about homophobia so why would that be the opinion if she were to talk in detail about misogyny and objectification of women?

You said misogyny should have been addressed first because Lady Gaga is a woman. And she did touch on misogyny elsewhere so saying it go "no dibs" is incorrect.

Let me clarify...Yes I'm saying women's inequality/misogyny should be first addressed by gaga because she is a woman and the degree of misogyny in hip hop is far greater than the degree of homophobia. Songs about bitches and hos sell more records than songs about fags or whatever degrading terminology is used these days. I'm responding to Lamma implying that nobody should get first dibs by his comment about her politics and what not being diced and the whole "who decides" wording. It seems to me that he is saying there should not be a "first dibbing" but clearly there was such as evidenced by gaga spitting out the word misogyny then going forward to actually speak on and address homophobia.

She mentioned misogyny and homophobia in the same sentence and then gave an example of a rapper making a homophobic statement. Is it really that big a deal to some people that misogyny in hip-hop got one word while homophobia got its own example? REALLY? confused This is precisely what Lammastide is talking about.

No, she mentioned an example about homophobia in hip-hop because it was fresh in her mind, a comment made by someone she was supposed to tour with. The interviewer then asked her to elaborate. He didn't ask her to elaborate about misogyny in hip-hop.

Again, people are really nitpicking here because they don't like someone outside the genre (and WHITE) telling it like it is.

And let me add that if one is to undertake the ardent and difficult task of addressing phobia, prejudices, inequalities, degredation etc within hip hop music and imagery then why not start with misogyny which is the most prevalent of them all? If you are a woman, you can adequately and effectively address this but gaga chose not to.

The more I think about it....perhaps she glossed over misgogyny becasue impressionable young girls and females in general do not make up the bulk of her main fan base. I mean she made the error of insinuating feminists don't love men which was rather ignorant.

Perhaps she addressed the concerns of her primary fans which may be gays. That could be it. In fact, perhaps the reason why there is exist so much misogyny in hip hop is because most devoted fans are themselves misogynists. hmmm

It's never irrelevant or useless for ANYONE to call out ignorant bullshit behavior in ANYTHING.

Sometimes it takes an outsider to one's particular group to call one out on some shit you've grown blinders about.

Gaga's been at the forefront as an outspoken advocate on this across the board.

That actually doesn't matter. Nude is nude, regardless of how you look at it.

So basically, you're embracing a double standard here. If Gaga does this stuff, it's horrifying. If Serena Williams does it, it's fine, because she's not doing this for a living. No. If anything, it would be more of a shock for Serena to do it, and most likely, less acceptable in more people's eyes.

In ESPN Magazine or some such thing. If I recall, you posted the thread about it, and I agreed that it wasn't a bad thing for her to do at all. If she's comfortable with her body, let her do it, that's pretty much what I thought the general consensus was.

Also, nude doesn't mean you've got to bare your coochie. There are varying stages of nudity, and if I recall correctly, Serena wasn't wearing any clothing at all, regardless of whether she was covering herself with the placement of her hands, etc.

Sure, but there's also a way to do it if you don't want people writing you off. Gaga has incredibly sexual videos, with visible tongue kissing, humping random objects, a guy trying to force her into sex and when she doesn't obey he kills her, skimpy outfits and sexual lyrics. There's no denying sex is a BIG part of her image and her songs, she's just smart enough to team it with an ever changing image and some great vocal performances.

Serena is primarily an athlete and uses her SKILL and only her SKILL in order to win at her sport and be successful. While Gaga often uses sex (to the point where we're desensitized and she's now using violence/death in her performances to gain attention instead) to see Serena naked isn't shocking, it's just different and it's not tacky or attention seeking because she already gets enough attention/money/fame from her talent.

Okay then, so this should be applied to everyone, not just Gaga. Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears... EVERYONE. You can't bitch at one person and leave out the others. It just doesn't work that way. If one person's going to get picked on for perpetuating gender stereotypes and whatnot, then pick on everyone.

The fact you pay attention to some pre-fab 'artist' like Lady Ga Ga (No, she isnt honest or original, she is a fake marketing toy ) talking about homophobia in a stalled, plastic environment of guys without talent who just want to performn MTV-cribs, shows how dead commercially driven american music is.

Both are a waste of time: Lady Gaga isnt authentic at all, just a New Kids on the Block or Britney presented with more 'style'.
Those hip-hoppers are nothing more then bragging dickheads without any musical talent.

The fact you seem to fall into that kind of 'trap' says a lot about you in the first place.

I read every post before I watched Lady Gaga interview. I'm kinda disappointed by what I've read because it seems to me some are blaming the messengers. The interview I watched showed a very tentative young women who was unwilling to "names" "names" are take a definitive stand on homophobia/misogyny out of fear of the wrath of others. Her fear is justified because when people speak up and out against the inhumanity of others... people who don't want to change, who don't want to examine their own bigotry, who fear the loss identity/status, or maybe power, go on the attack. What did she say that was a lie? What difference does it make what middle, east, west, north or down south America believes? Aren't we all the captain of our own souls? Of all people with our history, why haven't' Blacks been more outspoken about the nastiness and venom directed toward gay men/women and women in general?. But wait, I forgot, we aren't doing or saying much about the constant killing of men, women, children and our elderly in our community 24/7 either. This explains a lot.....

and the band plays on.....

I watched the interview and I was also surprised after reading some of the comments here.

First of all she didn't speak on homophobia in hip hop,
she said "in the music industry" and then when the interviewer asked whom she meant in hip hop she clarified "it's not just hip hop it's everywhere"

If anybody was trying to suggest that hip hop was the ultimate source of homophobia in pop it was the interviewer "BUT hip hop is STROOONG on its homophobia"

To which she answered "It's wrong" and she is entitled to that opinion.

I think it is commendable that a young pop star is making bold statements about something very political.

Plus she summed it up nicely: "It's always wrong to hate, it's never wrong to love." So basically she's saying she has low esteem for anybody who promotes hatred of any sorts.

no no no! nuh uh boo boo....you recall incorrectly. I've never posted a pic or started a thread about serena showing her pussy. never even seen a pic of her veejayjay (don't want to either. And to me...nude does mean you bare your cooch and your tatas. Semi nude means showing skin and ass cheeks which we all have and which is not all that allarming or offensive. The only pic I've posted of a semi-nude Miss Williams is in the big ass respect thread and she has her back turned whilst looking over a railing and she's wearing a bikini top and g-string. All you see is flesy butt cheeks and that hardly qualifies as nude IMO.
