Now, now, Ms Booty, I wouldn't go as far as to say fuck Thriller lol , because it did produce some great tunes imo, but Dangerous is (to me) far superior. My fave tune is Will You Be There. It gets me every time.

lol my favorite childhood song! that album is so creative. Well Thriller is a solid album but it's severely overrated. I would put Bad before Thriller.

For the most part, I would too, because my some of the great tunes are: Liberian Girl, Bad, Man in the Mirror. Thriller has Beat It and, of course, Billie Jean going for it.

I agree. Both "Off The Wall", as well as "Dangerous",are far superior than "Thriller".

A shit hop mess.

Now I usually don't agree with you on stuff, but you hit the nail right on the head with this one here nod!!!!! The only song I can stand to listen to is "The One", that was a masterpiece, but the rest of album is major shit.

Honestly, I don't see how this album was worse than 'Chaos and Disorder'. Everyone always hates this album, but I thought it was 10 times better than C&D; 'The One' alone was better than all of C&D IMO. Plus, love the hidden track on this one even though it's waaay hidden and I accidentally found it when I forgot to hit the stop button a few years ago.

Woo. Wanna sell it? I love that album and somebody stole my copy out the case. sad

lol Honestly, I had first heard my friend's copy and didn't like it but only bought it to complete the Prince section in my CD case which is also the only reason I haven't already gotten rid of it or the Rainbow Children or 1999 (yeah, I know, I've tried hard to like it but this album does nothing for me.). It's sad I know, but Prince albums are mad hard to find nowadays and when you do find them they are ridiculously expensive. Someone had stole my TGE and 'eye Hate U' maxi-single a few years ago and it took me forever to find them and when I did they were twice what I had originally paid so now none of my Prince albums leave my CD case. Have you tried secondspin.com? They usually have a nice amount of Prince albums for decent prices...that's where I got most of mine. nod

Just checked and secondspin.com has two copies of 'The Vault' for $6.99. They're CDs are used but they are always in good condition. I've never had a problem with anything I've gotten from them so check them out. biggrin

Man, good topic! Should be re-named most embarrassing albums you ever admit to buying! One, I can think of, is David Soul's self-titled debut album from 1976 with the song "Don't Give Up On Us Baby" (Bleh!). Another is (sigh) Sesame Street Fever at the end of the 70s... Now, that is truly embarrassing to admit... razz

I bought many crap albums through the years:
Writing's On The Wall-Destiny's Child (the singles were good the album was crap)
Regulate-Warren G (2 good songs only-I gave it away)
Gansta's Paradise-Coolio (1 good song only-I gave it away too)
Happy Nation (original version)-Ace Of Base (only the singles were good-I lost it in moving)
White Room-KLF (0 good songs-even the singles were is different boring versions)
Best Of Rozalla-Rozalla (almost everything was remixed... WHY?)
some pirate Grace Jones compilation from Serbia (Pull It To... in some horrible house version and Slave To The Rhythm in an instrumental version)

I am sure none of those is the absolute worse but those are the ones that come to mind. Btw I agree that Dangerous is better than either Thriller or Bad as an album. And really now the Soul II Soul album is fantastic as is Rainbow Children and LotusFlower

Hilarious choice of Albums, Bert and Ernie with the Cookie Monster as the Bee Gees, sad David Souls album was from 76. Seriously 1976 was not a bad year, it was the year I was born.

Totally disagree. He took a vintage sound and put his own spin on it. Not only do I love it, but it's a very refreshing change from most of the other garbage out there.
