Yes, there was a moment in high school where a "friend" did their best to convince me Rush was awesome. So I tried. But it ended right there.

Rush might be awesome, but that wouldn't be the album to dive into I don't think.

You know... this is a very difficult topic for me to answer because I tend to hoard albums I don't return to very often, and I don't usually blame the album for being "bad", just one that I can't get into, "not ready" for - either in this point in life or my current mood when I place the needle on the record (lazer on the disc, whatever lol).

I got caught up in the hype when it came out. It certainly didn't live up to it.

Its time to choose the worst albums you have ever purchased. Choose 1 or 100, and you can choose Prince (So Ernie, if you want to put the Rainbow Children up go for it)

Mine are

1. The Happy Chipmunks sing Michael's Jacksons greatest hits - 1984. Hideous soundalike of a soundalike. These are an imitation of Alvin and the Chipmunks (I think). Amateurish singing of Thriller and OTW hits. The best thing about this album is it was only 10 songs long. Sounds like hedgehogs being thrown on a fire alive.
2. The Id - Macy Gray - 2001. Very disappointing drug fuelled follow up to her 1st great album. Too hip hoppy and not enough torch like soul that there was on "How life is"
3. The Rainbow Children - Prince - 2001. His weakest release of a sung album (I didn't buy or count Kamasutra). Weak songs, contrived music and repellent lyrical content.

"Dangerous"- Michael Jackson, enough say.
"I have so much love for Prince. But why don't they look at me that way"- MJ

Dangerous was MJ's last great album. It had a slew of hit singles from it, videos, and the tour was fantastic too.

Glad I only payed $5 for it at Wal-mart, which was really $5 too much to be honest.

That 'Darth Vader' voice over makes me hate the album and the rest of it really isn't all that amazing either. Not to mention all the preaching. If I wanted to hear a sermon, I could go to church for free instead of spending $20 on this album.

I don't think I've listened to this album since I bought it.

This is the worst Janet album for me. It's filled with soo much filler and doesn't flow well at all.

disbelief No...just no.

Just doesn't flow well for me.

Honestly, I've stopped buying albums and just started to rent them from the library to avoid wasting money on a terrible album. Library is totally free so if the album sucks, I can just take it back without any hassle.

Recent albums that I've rented from the library that I think are awful are:

Lady Gaga 'The Fame' - I went into listening like I do with every album despite what I think of the artist and I really don't see what the big deal is at all. Found it to be boring and extremely uninnovative, but that's just me.

Beyonce 'I am Sasha Fierce - Nothing amazing about this album except for 'Halo' really. Her albums get worse and worse as time goes by because I actually really loved her first album.
Prince Rogers Nelson

You have rare taste or are otherwise a gifted album buyer. Surely tho you must have bought and album you thought was good and it turned out to be some killer singles and a lot of filler, ie Black eyed Peas

Dangerous was not a bad album either, its my second fav after Thriller.
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Though I loved it when I first bought it, now both The Killers Hot Fuss and Green Day's American Idiot are embarresments in my CD collection. Oh and after hearing "Photograph" by Nickelback I ran and got that CD, which after one listen I just lost it. Now I cannot ever listen to a full nickelshit song again.
