How can u say that? Sure, Janet may be a co-choreographer, but I know she couldn't have come up with something as technical as the "If" routine.

When I look at the Control videos, all I see is Paula. Not saying Janet didn't do any of the choreography, but the attitude, moves, "pops", etc. are all Paula.

Darling Janet co-choreographed "If" as well. Not all of her dance moves are created by other choreographers! And yes. Paula did create most of Janet's memorable moves. But has she moved on?

Apparently not. Heres's Paula giving us Control with a little touch of Rock with u attire (Stupid bitch!)

Besides most of Janet's most memorable dancing was from RN814. Which Paula took no part in. Janet was the head choreographer along with Anthony Thomas.

I know. I just asked the question above of what did people think of him. He seems to get overlooked at his work with Janet. He created most of her most memorable choreography.

As long as Justin Timberlake isn't there, ripping off a lady's clothing a little too hard, it will be fine.

Beware of Justin Timberlake!

it was janet's idea in the first place!

Janet sounds very similar to Michael, and Scream was both Janet and Michael's song.

eek disbelief no they do not at all. Please stop with that nonsense.

MTV confirms

Michael Jackson has contributed some of the most unforgettable moments in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards. In 1984, he won a handful of Moonmen for his "Thriller" video. A decade later, he shared a famous kiss with wife Lisa Marie Presley onstage. The list of epic performances and remarkable pop-culture moments goes on and on.

Following Jackson's sudden death in June, his sister Janet will return to the VMA stage to pay musical tribute to her brother. On Sunday, Janet will make a special appearance at the VMAs to help open the show and honor MJ's career. Previous reports noting that choreographer Frank Gaston is involved are erroneous.

Airing live Sunday at 9 p.m., the Russell Brand-hosted VMAs will pit Lady Gaga against Beyoncé, as each pop star has nabbed nine nominations, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video. Britney Spears has garnered seven nominations for her "Womanizer" and "Circus" clips in categories like Video of the Year and Best Pop Video. Kanye West, Eminem and Coldplay received four nominations each.

Performers include Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Pink, Taylor Swift and Muse. Among the evening's presenters are Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ne-Yo and Miranda Cosgrove.

"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will also appear on the show to debut an exclusive expanded trailer for "New Moon," the second film in the vampire saga.

Really, this does not need to be another thread comparing Janet and Madonna.

It's a tribute to both women that they are still in the game since 1982. I think they have reasons for why they do things. Janet's choreography for her early songs is so distinctive and so heavily identified with those songs that it would be pointless to try to come up with something better.

Another article

Believe what you heard. Janet Jackson WILL open the 2009 MTV VMAs on Sunday, September 13 with a very special musical tribute to her late brother, Michael Jackson.

A Janet Jackson appearance is enough to keep you glued to your TV, but Janet Jackson paying tribute to Michael Jackson's memory is going to be simply unmissable.

We'll let you know more once we get to Radio City and give you backstage access to the VMAs all weekend.

But until then, watch Janet and Michael Jackson team up in their epic "Scream" video -- it won three VMAs in 1995 -- and tell us how you think Janet Jackson should open the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Would that mean anyone who does a tribute for Michael is only doing it for self promotion?

Janet Jackson does not need MJ for her career, she never has and never will!
