mj is immortal I know that is right most of those acts WILL not be remember the way Michael will be and look at the audience so far they was into Michael's songs and Janet's performance not the performance followed. Michael will be remember for decades to come. Besides his family and friends of course, I think that the newer generation is cheated of wont see Michael's greatness live. I was too young of remember Michael during Thriller but I feel blessed that I remember when Bad, Dangerous, History, and Invincible came out as well as when he did that video with Michael Jordan and Heavy D on Jam, the news good or bad on his life, his performance on MTV Awards in the 90s, his HBO concert of Dangerous Tour, and him appearing with James Brown on BET Awards as well as and I will always treasure that. I feel sorry for the millentials or generation z who have not got the chance to see Michael performed through TV live or award shows since he rarely perform this decade and did not release that much material other than Invincible. co-sign. I am so grateful that the world had him for over 40 years entertaining us and inspiring us. He was a one of a kind phenomenon and he will never ever be forgotten. Even the generations to come will come to know the magic that is MICHAEL JACKSON. He was the greatest as far as Im concerned.

Yes Yes! Michael was and is the greatest for me. I miss the guy so much but I'm so glad I was around to experience some of Michael mania and that I was alive during his lifetime. There will NEVER be another like him, period. Madonna really made me tear up tonite. She was so on point! And Janet. Wow, I don't even know how Janet was able to perform. She has my respect. I could never do it. Strong person she is and talented too. I wish she was on for longer tonight. I was not ready for her to leave the stage yet. people are still watching? I am just leaving the channel on surfing on the internet. This show is bad too. I dont know why since I am recording this show on DVR just for the Michael/Janet tribute and performance. I think that we are not seeing the last of Janet for this show, tho.

How in the world can any of you say Janet is chunky or fat now?!?!
I know she's gotten heavier before, but I think she looks fine. [Edited 9/13/09 21:03pm]

My mom cried during the whole performance. She remembers Michael on the Ed Sullivan show and seeing Janet doing Mae West for the first time "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Janet did such a phenominal job. I almost choked up when I saw her dancing side by side with Michael. The dancers were incredible too. I love Janet even more than before! God bless her and her family. [Edited 9/14/09 9:38am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I like Janet, but....
after seeing the 20-something year old dancers before her on that MJ tribute dancing their asses off, and then immediately seeing a forty year old like Janet trying to stay up it looked kinda bad.She was wailing about and looked tired. Good for a 40 year old tho' reminded me of Paula Abdul last year on American Idol. After a certain time, artists have to leave that stuff to a younger generation. I'm not saying its time fore her to be sitting on a stool with a cigarette in one hand a martini in the other, but she is getting there. Love Janet no doubt tho'

Love Janet no doubt tho' i'm the first to say janet needs to stop peddlin' the punonny but she most certainly did not look like she was wailing about, tired, nor trying to stay up. especially considering the dancers doing the opening tribute who, while good, still couldn't hold a candle to Janet. I mean, Christ, the one guy didn't even TRY to do the smooth criminal lean. he just bent over from the waste, lol. no, janet tore shit up. and every single review that came in on the daily clips delivery today is a glowing review. trust me, cuz i go through them personally.

I agree on that, that was funny. I figured he did not get to the right spot, I thought i read somewhere that the lean depended on special shoes that keep them in place for the lean. Well that was my initial impression, I'll go view it again. [Edited 9/14/09 12:18pm]

I do not think she had a lot of time to practice and she was fill with emotional, fury passion, and dedication. She made Michael proud tonight and I bet he is looking down somewhere smiling.

cute story also janet was tearing up. it was cute how they had them lined up next to each other video mj and janet. Madge was probably the only other person alive who understood what living under that kind of bubble was like. Both MJ and Madonna were celebrities to most celebrites. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna
