The Roots - Phrenology.
"The Seed" is such a great sounding track.

Big Country - The Crossing
Debut album from a band that history seems to have all-but left behind.
RIP Stuart Adamson

Allman Brothers Band - Live at Fillmore East
I have heard them mentioned in SO many guitar mags that I finally caved and bought a CD to check them out.

Stray Cats - Very Best of
My friend's in a Rock n Roll covers band and they do a great version of Stray Cat Strut, which lead me to check this band out, and also to purchase this DVD:

Anxiety

i've been a reissue whore lately. i got st. etienne's "foxbase alpha" and "continental" deluxe edition reissues for my birthday, and then last week i got the three newest radiohead reissues ("kid a", "amnesiac" and "hail to the thief").

as for NEW new stuff, i haven't bought anything in a while, but i got a couple of new things from other folks, namely the new cornershop album (haven't heard yet) and the amanda blank album (LOOOOVE it, though i think it's a chewing gum album - it's gonna lose it's flavor fast).
