What are your opinions on the worst album covers from relatively popular albums?




Here are a few in my opinion:



Lawd, if the bulgeless codpiece attached to the fey future-fembot ASStronaught outfit wasn't bad enough, our boy had to out and get all Hitler/Musilini with that shit.




Largely successful in initial sales, even without attaching the CD to every concert ticket sold for the most successful tour of that year, Musicology's album cover nonetheless is almost as jankity as the afore mentioned bulgeless codpiece costume. Prince, to call this shit a bad photoshop job would be an upgrade. That shit was created in powerpoint by an intern wasn't it?




Madonna, I mean really? REALLY? Oh my god. Just... oh. my. god.
This edges out the horribly stupid 'Music' album cover in that this actually looks like a thread spam creation conceived during a spam competition. You could replace "Hard Candy" with "That's Hot" and nobody would have known it was meant to be an album cover....well, in another universe if you'd never heard of Madonna.




I've seen hardcore porn covers that looked like this. That's about all I have to say.

because for a woman who is so wonderfully photographable and does a LOT of really great photo shoots, most of her album covers in the last 20 years are either completely forgettable or unforgivably horrible.
