George Michael arrested again

George Michael quizzed over crash

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/h...202715.stm

Singer George Michael was arrested and questioned by police after his Land Rover was in collision with a lorry on the A34 in Berkshire.

The 46-year-old was held on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs but released after five hours.

He was taken to Loddon Valley police station near Reading following the incident in the early hours of Friday.

A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said the singer was later released without charge.

Police were called to the incident, involving a silver Land Rover and a lorry, two miles north of the M4 at about 0001 BST.

"The driver of the Land Rover, a 46-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.

"He was later released without charge," she added.

In June 2007 the singer was banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to driving while unfit through drugs.

I'm just glad he is okay. pray

I saw this earlier and my heart sunk; it was, like, 'What now?'. sigh

Apparently, it was quite a nasty crash, according to this report:

I'm just glad he's okay but, damn... disbelief

Come on George, get it together!! It's a shame that some people have to reach rock bottom before they come to their senses and seek help. How many more incidents like this will George need to go through?

How come the charges always get dropped when he does these things? I don't think he will change unless he faces some serious consequences for this bad behavior.
He's not only hurting himself and his career, but is putting everyone on the road in danger. This really has to stop.

This the part that gets me! He already had some weird "rock bottom" scenario driving around high and drunk and got suspended, only for two years.

In June 2007 the singer was banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to driving while unfit through drugs.

Well it has been two years, and only a month and a half in from having his privileges back, he does this dumb schitt again.

I mean come on OK, if the dude is getting high or is drunk or is having sex, he shouldn't be THE ONE on the wheel. He's a celebrity, least have someone drive for you at night. In the morning when he's off his high or whatever, that's when he can drive. biggrin

GM just seems to keep providing the tabloid headline writers with material neutral - first it was 'Zip Me Up Before You Go Go' (when he was arrested for cottaging in LA)...

Today, on the front of The Mirror it just says 'Wham!' giggle. On The Sun, they've used 'George Michael Rear Ends Trucker'. falloff
