It would be interesting to see this list with their release dates (or at least what year they came out). A lot of 2008 releases I bought in 2008.

For 2009, well... I see Prince's album up there. smile

Yeah what is the source, and these figures seemingly only represent 2009 sales and not YTD (all encompassing).
I just read that Plies DA REALIST had sold over 350k - and this list has it about half that
.

Man, those figures are pretty low. I, too, would love to see the release dates. I see that Taylor's album came out in November. I wonder if those figures include the November numbers?

Assuming Thriller is the 25th anniversary edition which I don't have, these are the only ones I own. I'm so not in sync with what's popular these days.

Dood, U need to update those news... MJs "The Essential MJ" is currently the 2nd best-seeling albumof the year... Just sumthing like 80,000 copies short of Taylor Swift... Bt U all, MJ is gonna have the best selling album of the year in the US, just like in... 1983 and 1984! Just show us how bad the music is right now...

Exactly!! a "greatest hits compilation" (with some songs made more than 40 years ago) outselling the newcomers?? Damn, if I were a musician in 2009, I'd bury myself (and take The Black Eyed Peas and Miley Cyrus with me mad )
