Turned out Kanye West didn't say that he was the new KOP after all, lol! Kanye West in Jackson internet hoax
(UKPA) – 3 hours ago Kanye West was the subject of an internet hoax, after a spoof story about him claimed he was ready to replace Michael Jackson as King of Pop. Just a month after Jackson's tragic death, the singer's fans were shocked to read that Kanye said he was ready to take on the crown - mistaking the spoof on website Scrapetv.com for a real interview. In the spoof, Kanye is quoted as saying: "You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change - it's so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I'm willing to take that on." It took someone long enough to figure that shit out....I posted something about it in that long ass Kanye-KOP thread...
I was surprised that someone didn't point out that the quote was a spoof early on....The site where the fake Kanye quote came from (below) is basically similar to The Onion, site/publication that does joke-style news....Just click the link and read the end of the "story".... Now we all know that in the past Kanye has said some pretty ego maniacal shit...In fact, dude can be a douche bag....But the posts I read after the fact was just another excuse for the let's-shit-on-hip-hop parade that the Org has become infamous for.... Like I said in my previous post, some things never change.... http://scrapetv.com/News/...-side.html

^^ Yeah I noticed that too. That's why I hardly commented on it, lol. I'm trying to find the page but it's difficult to navigate on that site.

Kanye is still pissed about this! He "reportedly" went off on the media last night in a freestyle rap!
At any rate, I thought it was worth posting his exact comment on this subject that he posted on his website last week. The caplock and no use of spacing was his doing, not mine! http://www.kanyeuniversec...81=&em3161 I WAS JUST LISTENING TO WENDY WILLIAMS AND HEARD SOME QUOTE ABOUT ME SAYING I'M THE NEW KING OF POP. NOT ONLY DID I NOT SAY THAT, I HAVEN'T SAID ANYTHING. IT MAKES ME FEEL BAD THAT OBVIOUSLY I MADE PEOPLE FEEL THAT I WOULD BE CORNY ENOUGH TO SAY SOMETHING SO WHACK AFTER THE PASSING OF AN IDOL, A LEGEND AND MORE THAN THAT A HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS AND FAMILY. IT SCARES ME TO THINK WHAT PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE, WITHOUT EVEN A SOURCE. ANY RANDOM PERSON CAN TYPE SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET AND THEN THE WORLD BELIEVES IT. I DON'T TALK TO PRESS OR DO TV OR DO PROMOTIONS OF ANY SORT. I'VE STOPPED CHASING AND BUYING INTO FAME. FAME IS LIKE CIGARETTES WITH NO SURGEON GENERAL WARNING. IT DESTROYS MOST PEOPLE AS IT DID TO THE TRUE AND ONLY KING OF POP. WE EXPLOIT OURSELVES AND EAT OUR OWN EGOS 'TILL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. I HAVE A FEELING THAT THIS WON'T BE THE LAST FALSE STATEMENT WITH MY NAME ON IT, BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I DEFEND MYSELF. I'M DONE.
