Hello World: The Motown Solo Collection

Did anyone buy this set yet? I was looking at it,and noticed that a few songs are on it more than once. Why would they do that?

Emerald, I think some of the songs are different mixes/versions like the original version of "Farewell my Summer Love" etc. Are the songs digitally remastered?, because I have all the MJ Motown solo albums on CD &/or cassette.

Also, "In Our Small Way" is on it twice because it was on his first two solo albums.

All tracks remastered nicely, Farewell my summer love - both dubbed & undubbed album versions (undubbed are bonus tracks but complete), in our small way appears twice (version on ben album though has studio countdown included), twenty five miles undubbed version - nice set nice pics/booklet a real worthy buy - has been out in US about a month now and UK has later release date of Aug 31st.

I have this set. Some of the same titles would appear because they included the original mixes for some of the songs that appeared on the 1984 and 1986 releases re-mixed.

The packaging is nice looking, but it's a hassle at the same time though. all three cds are stored in cardboard slots inside a nice small hardcover book. but when i removed them to put them somewhere more secure they were scratched. this is not a good package packging wise, in fact, all this eco stuff makes me mad we buy media to collect and very few people dispose of there packging so it really doesnt even help the the enviorment.

So it's in the same kind of packaging as LotusFlow3r? Most likely they will just be put on my iPod,so there won't be alot of Cd removal anyway. That's good to know though. Thanks! smile

I agree, they could have glued plastic tray placeholders inside of this book cover, like a few box sets I have. I didn't really like those pockets.

Yes, I mean I couldn't even get the discs out the first time I got it 2 weeks ago. I was afraid to tear the pocket, so I just slid my finger down and the disc was full of small scratches. Ugh. just a big annoyance.

i'm just glad that i got forever michael on cd!!! woot!
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
