Maybe you can prove me wrong by posting this interview on here! and besides what is a "black Madonna"? Would that require Janet to dry hump the stage floor while belting sour notes? or would that require her to build her career off controversy? Who out now is trying to be Madonna besides Lady CaCa? Nobody. Janet is the most emulated artist ever! I only can recall Jimmy Jam saying that him, Janet and Terry Lewis wanted Control to be in every black household. After seeing the success of Thriller they wanted Control to be like the black Thriller but it became more then that. It was targeted to one audience but Janet already crossed-over. And she made music history! First artist to have five Top 5 singles from one album and First artist to place six #1 R&B singles from one album. Erm i think that might be something of an overstatement. Particularly in consideration of her lately deceased brother. [Edited 7/28/09 15:31pm] I knew an MJ stan was going to point that out! Too bad I was talking about the industry so I stand by my statement!

I'm not going to post the interview, because I have no interest in finding it. I read it like 15 years ago. As I said, (the flattering) parts of it were excerpted for the Design Of A Decade liner notes, I believe, but I care so little that I'm not going to bother. I've seen parts of it quoted pretty often, usually in sloppy celebrity bio type of crap way back when, even reprinted in a book that I rented from the library when I was about 16. He discusses the evolution of Control and how the tracks were intended for another singer, etc..... You're the Janet nut, you go find it. I'm sure you've got a clipping of it somewhere under your bed. Yea,yea, yea because you're lying NEXT!!! ->>> [Edited 7/29/09 6:50am]

What is the 'janet' album? An R&b album about love that happens to be her most successful.

Not exactly. RN1814 and Janet produced several hit singles covering almost a two year span per album. Not to mention the world tours she did for both albums.

So you started disliking Janet because of her fanbase That doesn't make sense at all! I thought people like an artist because of their music, style and personality!?! Guess I was wrong!
