But I find his ballads nondescript and lacking urgency on the whole.

You gotta be joking.Stevie's ballads are FILLED with power and emotion.

I wonder where King Sausage is! He has told me that, when he first heard "If It's Magic",he actually started crying. It's such a beautiful song and he was so MOVED by it.

It is a beautiful song. But then the whole album is simply beautiful by design.

What do you guys think of "Summer Soft"? That's my favorite song on the album, but I never see nobody else talking about it.

I got into this album in a roundabout way: I heard Najee's cover of the album (some fairly cool playing on the Najee disc, by the way). And, I decided to look for it.

I wound up buying it, a double CD, in a pawn shop for $6!

Stevie is movement and love. He is the sound of innocence and sounds so clear. He is always a joy to hear to me. I love his music dearly. He has vision and is so full of energy.

I love Stevland heart

Another great song from this album is "Knocks Me Off My Feet".This is the type of song that Paul McCartney would have killed for.

It has been covered by many other artists, such as Tevin Campbell and Luther Vandross. But nothing can top the original version by Stevie.
