The song, The Sensual World is what got me into her, and I think it's still my favorite! smile

I also found her appearance on Emancipation to be really cute.

All of her albums are true masterpieces (with the exception of "The red shoes" maybe), so it's hard to pick one for me.

That's a wicked tune! It deserves a much wider audience, it's totally crazy but hey, that's why i love her. And her vocal work on it is awesome. The song was influenced by Stephen King's The Shining which probably has something to do with it being a tad scary.
Waking The Witch is another spooky one and even Mother Stands For Comfort has a certain eeriness about it!

watching you without me
hounds of love
pull out the pin
suspended in gaffa
houdini
top of the city
why should i love you
eat the music
delius

room for the life
the fog
the sensual world
this woman's work
december will be magic

she completely defies the norm, in terms of the music industry.

Ahh, Kate is incredible... I can't pick a favorite song, she's just so good, but The Dreaming is my favorite album of the moment. A few songs I've been listening to a lot lately are Suspended in Gaffa, L'Amour Looks Something Like You, Army Dreamer, and Cloudbursting.

yum!

The Dreaming is a f*ckin' great album. Although it's her weakest selling work (that said, it reached no.3 in the UK,) true Kate-heads put it second only to Hounds Of Love.

An underrated masterpiece that still sounds 20 years ahead of its time.

The Red Shoes has grown on me loads over the last two years (probably due to lack of new product biggrin). It doesn't flow as well as her other albums but as it contains Rubberband Girl, The Song Of Solomon, The Red Shoes, Big Stripey Lie and Why Should I love You? it's still an essential item. For me anyway.

Rubberband Girl is fucking AWESOME! Ya just gotta love the message in there--bend but don't break, like the trees...just an uplifting tune, with such an original, upbeat sound to it. It does my heart good to hear such things being published...

Where does Never For Ever rate through the ears of "true Kate-heads" then? Personally, i reckon The Dreaming represents her most consistent album (with Never For Ever pipping Hounds 2 2nd spot).Having said that, every music critic under God's sun hails Hounds as her definitive work, so what do i know ?! confuse

nod I'll definitely buy the new album next year (if she ever gets round 2 finishing it! sigh). A decade wait would test the patience of any fan; is this inexorable silence attributable 2 writer's block or sheer perfectionism?

In any case, xpectations r high! Here's hoping she doesn't disappoint.

I never heard of Kate bush until I actually hear maxwell's cover of this woman's work (classic) Then I finally heard the orginal which I thought was cool and wanted to know more about Kate bush, she's cool. It seems like Tori Amos tries to be alot like her... however, If it wasnn't for Prince or Maxwell I think I would've missed out on a great Artist,

In the majority of fan polls the order of her albums are usually:

Hounds Of Love
The Dreaming
The Kick Inside
The Sensual World
Never Forever
The Red Shoes
Lionheart.

The reason Kate has been away for so long is due to her having a breakdown following the death of her mother (which actually occured before the release of The Red Shoes, but she didn't grieve properly at the time and it caught up with her. As it does.) She then began work on a new album but didn't like what she had written and scrapped it and then fell pregnant. According to Kate herself, motherhood is more important than making an album. And i agree.

nope razz she's almost as hard to pick out as Sheryl Crow and Chante Moore are in their "guest appearances" on a Prince song.

Ok...well, since I'm a Kate fan she jumped right out of "My Computer," singing along with Prince, if distorted.
