BONUS Old School R&B Song Of The Day(12/17/2002)/Ashford And Simpson- It Seems To Hang On This husband and wife team wrote some of Motown's biggest hits back in tha day. Then in the early 70's they went out on their own on Warner Bros.records. They had a few hits, but this ONE was huge. This is from their 1978 album Is It Still Good To Ya'. This album kind of got slept on in 78' in the midst of all of the raves and excitement over EWF, P-Funk and Teddy Pendergrass. But this is a pretty good R&B record. This song dominated R&B radio in 1978.
Enjoy!!! | |

I agree to all of it. I sometimes hear the song on noon day oldies shows. Makes me flash back to the good ole days as a 6 yr old. "I can't go nowhere, I can't feel the same, I don't know my name, I can't understand why it seems to hang on." They were solid! Sorry I had to toss that in there. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me." | |
