basically, I think the careers of the WHOLE Jackson family are over, including Michaels!! I still cant see him pulling off all these 02 gigs, to b honest, due 2 a number of reasons!!!!! Theres now reports of further lawsuits heaped upon him and even if he does the 02 gigs, the money he accrues from them all will in no way b enough 2 cover all his debts!!!!!nod nod

The fact his catalog still sells, has a huge fanbase, and actually sold out 50 dates at the same arena says his career isn't over

She just needs to do something totally different and unexpected. How about a role in a Broadway musical? A sitcom? A rock album? Something that would rejuvenate her career and force people to take notice. After three albums in the same style (R&B music with sexy lyrics and whispery vocals),it's time for a major re-invention.

If she was a reliable touring act,she could easily go to Vegas and get one of those lucrative deals where she plays the same venue for several years.

I think he will be okay financially. For years,we've been hearing rumors that he is broke and yet,I don't see him filing for bankrupcy lol He'll be okay, especially if he can pull off these gigs.

Yeah,Michael is one those iconic artists who will never really be "over".Any artist who can sellout arenas and stadiums decades after their heyday, will never be over.

Musically - she's of no more relevance. She now has to branch out into film, and drop a soundtrack cut here and there. Her run is over, but she can still tour.

Janet's material has not matured with her age. If u listen 2 her music, u would think that she is 22 years old. Perhaps she should get away from these lame as hiphop producers and get more in tune with a more mature audience. Singing about one's sex life in your 40's is NOT going 2 cut.

I'd not say it's over, but her heydey has ostensibly passed. Her sales will increasingly taper to a dedicated fanbase and she'll be seen less as a currently relevant artist and more as a sort of foundational elder.

But Gray, come on now, Janet cannot sing and her weak voice lends itself to these types of songs which is why she cannot evolve. Without the slick, overproduction what's left??? Janet, God love her, is like that frothy foam at the top of your coffee but without the coffee as a foundation. So yeah, I'd say it's a wrap. shrug

Yeah, touring would be her best bet but if her most recent tour is any indication, she may have a hard time getting through an entire tour.

Harlepolis

Excuse me? confused

Mick Jagger & Aerosmith are STILL singing about sex, and both dudes are as old as Moses.

The dead horse has already been buried when it comes to this shit, Tina Turner made her breakthrough when she was over 45 and sang NOTHING but raunchy music,,,,and that was 25 years ago shrug

Janet's ONLY problem though is redundancy, she has been naggin' us with the SAME method eversince All 4 U. I seriously think that if she re-invented herself "musically" like she always did and KEPT ON PROMOTING IT, she would come back with a bang

Folks already dismissed Mariah after Glitter and ALL the odds were against her untill she shushed 'em with "Mimi"(which I didn't like) but still, she took the world by a storm with that album.

Same will go with Ms.Jackson,,,,,and I'm also happy that she's doing movies along, that too is helpful.
