Michael Jackson's Hit-And-Run Driver Pleads Ignorance
As we mentioned before, Michael Jackson's driver got into a car accident when picking up the former hitmaker from the hospital. The driver reportedly crashed his Escalade into the side of a parked ambulance, knocking off the side mirror. Police are calling this a "minor accident." But instead of exchanging insurance info with the EMT who was inside the parked ambulance, the driver ran inside, came out with Jacko, and sped off. However, Jacko's driver is now speaking out and playing the whole "I didn't know I did that" excuse. Apparently it was only after hearing media reports about the incident that the driver turned himself in to police on Thursday night. He told cops he was "unaware" he caused any damage to the ambulance. As for charges, none have yet to be filed. The the driver of the ambulance, though, is complaining about whiplash. Whiplash from knocking off a side mirror? Really? Puh-lease. We smell a lawsuit coming!

Jacko's Driver Crashes Into Ambulance!
Wacko Jacko is on the run!!! …Sorta. The King of Pop's driver was involved in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday afternoon with a parked ambulance! EMT Jamin Mauro was in an ambulance parked outside Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills when a black Escalade crashed into the vehicle, knocking off the ambulance's side mirror! The driver of the Escalade then hopped out of the car and rushed into the hospital without saying a word to Mauro, but when the driver returned, he was accompanied by Michael Jackson???? Said Mauro, "We were hit by the Escalade, and I was taking pictures for my company insurance… About 30 seconds after, Jackson walked out of a medical building. He jumped into the Escalade and they sped off." Um. Isn't that majorly illegal???? Mauro has no clue why Jacko's driver didn't trade insurance info with him, but BHPD have reported that the car was being followed by pesky paps at the time of the accident! Not a valid excuse!! http://perezhilton.com/20...-ambulance http://perezhilton.com/20...-ignorance

Not a valid excuse!! http://perezhilton.com/20...-ambulance http://perezhilton.com/20...-ignorance There is some questions about this issue from MJJR Alleged Vehicle Accident ...In addition, a new scandal is brewing in which ambulance technician Jamin Mauro alleges that the vehicle transporting Michael Jackson on Wednesday struck his ambulance and then fled the scene. In fact, Mauro's story has changed quite significantly over the past day as he continues to speak to the media, and what he alleges tends to contradict video evidence of the alleged incident. Initially, Mauro and his partner filed a police report about the accident whereby the police confirmed that "There were no injuries reported." However, when speaking to paparazzi site TMZ today, Mauro charged that he actually smashed his head on the windshield and his partner suffered head and elbow injuries, along with stiff necks. They reported that they'd be going to the hospital today to get checked out. Curious as to why they reported no such injuries in the official police report. According to the complaint, the ambulance was idling near a medical center that Michael Jackson was in at the time when they were struck by Michael's driver, and "about 30 seconds" later Michael Jackson got into the vehicle and they left the scene. Interestingly enough, at least one video exists which shows that there was no ambulance idling behind Michael Jackson's SUV when it arrived to pick him up, and the ambulance did not actually pull up behind Jackson's vehicle for at least a minute from the time the SUV first parked. The Escalade was idle, waiting for Michael Jackson, for more than two minutes in the video rather than the "30 seconds" alleged by the ambulance technician. In addition, the duo released photographs of the alleged accident (and of Michael Jackson getting into his SUV) to the media in which the driver's side mirror is broken and hanging by a wire and scrapes are seen on the side of the vehicle. However, in the video that shows Michael Jackson entering his SUV and leaving the scene (with the ambulance sitting behind them), both mirrors appear to be in tact and undamaged. Surprisingly, despite there being many paparazzi agents in the area (as was cited in the police report) none of them caught any such accident on video. Likewise, no photographs were taken to confirm that there was any damage to Michael Jackson's vehicle as a result of the alleged crash. There are pictures of a damaged ambulance, and pictures of Michael Jackson getting into an SUV, but seemingly no definitive proof that there exists a link between the two. BY BOB KOSTANCZUK Post-Tribune staff writer After playing a pivotal role in launching the Jackson 5, Gordon Keith feels it's time to sell his stash of early J5 recordings. He says he even has an agent to help him do it. "I could use the money," said Keith, producer of the first Jackson 5 recordings, which were made in the 1960s, when the Gary brothers were on Steeltown Records, a hometown label. "I got these guys off the ground," Keith, 69, said. "I didn't truly get real money for it." Among his most interesting collectibles up for sale are a sizable number of mint-condition copies of "Big Boy," the first Jackson 5 record, released in early 1968. As is the case with Keith's other valuable J5 holdings, a bank vault stores the pristine 45-rpm records, which were manufactured in 1967 and have "You've Changed" on the flip side. In another vein, potential purchasers can ponder master and master-mix tapes that capture Michael Jackson and his brothers, before they began their ascent to international fame with the release of "I Want You Back" on Motown Records in late 1969. Keith is also selling rehearsal tape of the Jacksons from their days in Gary, while demos or dubs from 1967 — in 45-rpm form — are likewise up for sale. Such audio treasures reflect a pop-music super group in its formative stages, when 2300 Jackson St. in the Steel City was still home to the boys — including the eventual "King of Pop" — Michael. "Motown had turned the Jacksons down two or three times before I recorded them," Keith said. Elvy Woodard, who was in a band Keith once managed, said Keith — his uncle — has a chance to make a lot of money from his Jackson 5 collection. "He's got the first time they went into the studio, when they first recorded — nobody else has that," said Woodard, a 1972 graduate of Gary's West Side High School. "He's got the beginning." In regard to more touches from the J5's past, Keith is selling a large number of mint-condition 45s that feature the group's "We Don't Have to Be Over 21," backed with "Jam Session." More than 100 copies are available. The Steeltown record — which was pressed circa 1970 — has Jackson 5 music that was recorded in the '60s. When it comes to paperwork, Keith's treasure trove of up-for-sale items includes the 1968 contract he signed with Atlantic Records, which distributed his J5 records. To garner money, Keith is also considering parting ways with the 1967 contract between him and the Jackson family, signed by Joe Jackson, the boys' father. Keith said he would be willing to sell that historic document with "stipulations." Prices are negotiable on the Jackson 5 materials, according to Keith, who billed himself as "original discoverer" of the band in an announcement of his sale intentions. He believes there are hundreds of thousands of dollars to be made on what he is selling. While it appears that Keith's collection has the potential to rake in life-changing money, it's certain that he possesses a juicy chunk of pop-music history. "When I finally recorded them, I said, well, I know this group is gonna make it all the way, so I'm going to put away some of their recordings and other paraphernalia," the longtime Gary resident said. "So that's why I have these now. I knew that they were gonna be big." [/img] "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. Or maybe a kind Orger can point me in the right direction. Yeah, I've got all of Michael's major malbums (Off The Wall onwards) and a couple of The Jacksons' albums ('Destiny' and 'Triumph') but very little of his early stuff. It was only £4 so I snapped it up. I've been putting a lot of his material on my Ipod in readiness for the concerts so this will fit in nicely. I'll keep an eye out for 'Hello World'. Cheers!

They've never attended a school, never shopped like a normal person, probably don't have friends, etc., etc.. I'm not saying they're bad kids at all, have no idea, but they certainly have been super-protected and that's not good for developing a self-sufficient adult. kids wearing masks when out in public isn't normal or natural for and children, regardless of if they are celebrity children or not. no other celebrity children wear masks in public, and i've never seen or heard of any other kids doing it i understand there are some who say it's the kids choice to wear masks in public, but it's the parents responsibility to teach kids rights and wrongs, and whats normal and acceptable, and what is not, and wearing masks in public is clearly not normal behaviour, so if the kids did want to wear masks in public, then he should stop/persuade them not to the question is, why would the kids want to start doing this in the first place? especially the older kid that should be grown out of this by now. it would appear that when they were younger they were made to wear the masks by MJ, so if they are free not to wear the masks anymore, they have a deep psychological desire to keep doing what they have been used to and acustomed to doing for years, since an early age why would they wear the masks? the original intention may have been to hide the identity of the kids, to avoid kidnap attempts, but by wearing such obvious clothing, and masks on top, it means that wherever they go they stick out like a sore thumb and draw attention to themselves, thus making it easier to spot them, thus making a kidnap attempt much easier. it's the same with MJ. if he just stuck on a pair of jeans and sneakers and a ralph lauren shirt, baseball cap and aviators he could probably go around for quite some time before being recognised. dressing up in fat suits or as a female muslim is just going to attract attention. it would therefore suggest that the wearing of masks is an intentional, or perhaps subconscious, attempt at drawing attention to himself for publicity reasons it's been mentioned many times before that MJ craves the attention, but because he is a pop artist, known for singing and dancing, he isn't critically acclaimed by the respected critics in the same way as artists such as dylan, marley, springstein, the beatles, or even prince, thus most of the public awareness of his current existence is the result of the tabloid journalism that he supposedly abhorrs. if the tabloid press and related media didn't report about him, his memory would fade in the same way as artists like marvin gaye and al green. it therefore suggests that the wearing of bizzarre outfits and masks and making very obvious public trips is designed to draw attention, and alert the paparazzi and get written about in the tabloid media, thus satisfying a lust for attention there are many other big stars around, and if they want to go around unnoticed, they can pretty much do so, as there are certain places to go where no-one would expect or care about a celebrity too much, and then there are places where the paparazzi hang out as they know it's a celeb hang out. it turns out that those are the places with the stars who want to be seen go, to increase profile, whilst the big stars wouldn't be seen dead in those places. MJ would be out of place in most places, but particularly in a celeb hotspot, thus dressing strangely, wearing masks and taking a security entourage to a shopping mall or store is his take on celebrity slumming for the paps what that is doing for his kids is anyones guess, but i don't anyone would agree it's healthy. they don't go to school like normal kids, they don't even have friends like normal kids, and the man who has parental custody of them has the reputation of probably the strangest man on the planet, which two high profile child abuse cases behind him. i'm sure they are purposely kept a sheltered life as a result of this to "protect" them. i can only imagine that when they are old enough to escape from the clutches of the family, that they will end up in celebrity rehab a number of times after rebelling from the enforced lifestyle they had been brought up in, in a similar way to how MJ has reacted to his upbringing, but with the results closer to those of the celebrity drop out kids like the osbournes. when they are old enough to find out and read for themselves about MJ, it's going to seriously mess with thier heads, and it appears they have already had a life of that. the odds of them making it to their 22nd birthday party aren't particularly good oh please those kids have probably been going out in public with nannies and body guards without michael for years. and they have a million cousins who they can play with. i wouldn't be suprised if they go to the mall and movies all the time without michael you just don't know it cause people don't know what they look like so the paps aren't there.i think what he did with those kids is brilliant when there teens they canactually go places with friends or what ever and not have cameras in there face the whole time. i doubt suri or angelina jolies kids will ever be able to do that. And if you ask me a child growing up always having strangers shoving cameras in there faces and flashing lights at them will be more damaged than a child who wears a mask for a few minutes maybe 5 times a year.

Regarding MJ and his children, we really don't know how the kids actually live their lives. They probably don't wear masks all the time- and only in front of the paparazzi to protect their identities.
But at the same time- I'm sure they don't really get to live a normal life as well- they probably don't get to do what kids their age normally do freely. I'm sure MJ is a control-freak regarding what goes on in their lives. But I think MJ gets scared way too much- look at Madonna, she's done okay with raising Lourdes and Rocco, without making them resort to masks and stuff. She's a huge star too. I'm sure MJ is a control-freak regarding what goes on in their lives. But I think MJ gets scared way too much- look at Madonna, she's done okay with raising Lourdes and Rocco, without making them resort to masks and stuff. She's a huge star too. [Edited 4/30/09 11:01am] wearing masks in public doesn't protect their identities, it just makes them stand out more in public, it draws attention to them, that they otherwise wouldn't get if they just went out wearing normal clothes without masks as i mentioned before, it just seems a publicity stunt on MJ's behalf, which is in effect causing psychological harm to his children or is there another reason for the masks? is he abusing his children in the same way his father abused him? are they covering signs of physical abuse? personally i don't think so, but i think they are causing mental abuse, which may not show signs at the moment, but will erupt during adolesence. if you think of the troubles that drew barrymore, kelly and jack osbourne, nicole ritchie, etc etc had, then i think that's nothing compared to what these kids will go through. they will make everyone forget about river pheonix, thats for sure

Serena said: Dude, I'm not saying they wear masks at home. I think it's horrible for all celebrities' kids to have the freaking paps running, shouting and having flashes in their faces all the time. But, those kids are isolated except from a very few people and then dragged from place to place.
Jeez, woman... why don't you let it finally rest? How do you know with whom they do or don't hang out with? You have no insight whatsoever... all you know about those kids is the paparazzi pictures where they have masks on! Other than that you know jackshit about them! So stop pretending to care or know anything about those kids upbringing! And yes, Paparazzi are horrible! As are people who judge other people based on paparazzi pics and no insight at all! @unique Blablabla... armchair psychology at it's best! [Edited 4/30/09 11:43am]

I bought a 3cd boxset earlier - 'Children Of The Light', 'Early Classics' and 'Music And Me' - only £4!! My housemate is slowly brainwashing me. It's from the '95-'00 period..... You bought that set? There's one coming out soon called "Hello World" that has all 4 of his Motown albums with some rare mixes Some fans say " We be ballin " , if it is,I will jump off a cliff , must be a complete unreleased MJ song, "we be ballin " is not a MJ track. I've seen pictures where they don't wear masks, but they are not around MJ- they were walking around with that nanny.

Cheers! Knowing some of my friends, it'll be up 5 minutes after it's streamed Can´t wait. Bboy, if you´l have any links to it, please send them over here. Can´t wait. I'm not so pessimistic (or at least I sure hope things work out better than that!), but overall your post makes several great points. I mean, compare/contrast MJ's behavior to Madonna, particularly with regard to their kids. BTW, I've never heard of a godsister! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Yes, interesting how a dad (MJ) who has complained for years about how he didn't have much of a childhood, didn't get to do all the normal kid things, etc. now seems to keep his own kids isolated from much of that. But I think MJ gets scared way too much- look at Madonna, she's done okay with raising Lourdes and Rocco, without making them resort to masks and stuff. She's a huge star too.
ding ding ding! I'm sorry, but claiming the kids have to wear the masks everywhere to protect them is nonsense. As pointed out more than once, that makes them more noticeable, not less. And they've been photographed without them anyway. "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great.
