Michael Jackson Shopping Spree: Leather, Kids' Clothes – and a Mannequin

Michael Jackson and his three children went wild during a shopping trip on L.A.'s trendy Melrose Avenue this week.

Accompanied by sons Prince Michael I, 12, and Prince Michael II (known as Blanket), 7, and daughter Paris, 11, Jackson hit the Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier stores, where he scooped up Paco Chicano T-shirts and gear from Crystal Rock, along with Ed Hardy leather jackets and kids' clothing.

"They walked out with over 20 bags and a mannequin," says a source.

Although the boutiques were closed so that Jackson could shop in peace, the singer, 50, encouraged some of the fans who lined the storefront to come inside and take pictures with him.

"Michael was extremely friendly and in great spirits," says a source. "He was loving with his kids and in a great mood. The kids were very polite and well-spoken."

Jackson is a longtime supporter of the edgy clothing lines also favored by Madonna and Britney Spears. "He was shopping for his closet and planning to wear some of the items for his summer concerts on stage in London," says the source.

Jackson returns to the stage on July 8 to kick off a 50-date concert series in London that’s scheduled to run through 2010. He's been spotted at a rehearsal studio in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley in recent weeks, where his dancers have been practicing.

The Twinz' recap of meeting and rehearsing for MJ:

Here it is folks- Maya and Nandy's encounter with MJ when he came to watch Prince in Vegas
-----

Explain your encounter with MJ in detail when he came to Prince's show.

We were in Las Vegas doing a sixth month run of shows with Prince at the Rio for his 3121 album.

We were about to start the show, when our hairdresser came into the side stage holding room screaming that Michael Jackson was back stage!

Mind you the show was about to start and Prince was arriving any minute! Michael was chilling waiting to go to his seat in Prince's purple greenroom with velvet and candles We were not in the first song (which we usually are) and mind you the show was about to start and Prince was arriving any minute! So we run down to the greenroom and there he was standing in Princes purple room with purple beads hanging across the door.

We didn't even want to walk into his presence without an invitation. It was just him in the room and John Meglen from AEG Live (the touring company that's now doing Michaels "This Is It" tour and has been doing Prince's tours).

John welcomed us in as we were just standing there outside the door in amazement and we introduced ourselves. The fist time we met Michael was a while back in Sydney and we looked totally different.

He shook our hand and said "Nice to meet you, are you in the show?". We said: "yes, we are in the show”, and he said said, " I like your make up". We had blue eye shadow on

We asked if he remembered us and he said in an apologetic soft voice "No". So we explained when we met him in Sydney Australia, and he remembered us and said: "Your all grown up now!" and gave us a cuddle. So sweet!!!

The DJ was playing up stairs and he was grooving to the music, then Chris Tucker ended up bursting into the room screaming out Mike!!!!! And gave him a big cuddle and Chris saw us and said: “ Dubble trouble” in his twangy voice lol! Then got called upstairs cause Prince arrived and the show was about to start.

Michael watched the show in a booth behind the standing room and we could see his hands in the air clapping during the show!

We finally got to perform for him after all the years he had performed for us. We were very happy. Best moment of our lifes! Performing with a legend on stage, for a legend off stage!!!

lol I find it hilarious that so many people will believe ANYTHING they read!!

This happens all the time with both fans and haters of all celebs: people go ape over crap in gossip columns and tabloids. Often just a little common sense would be enough to see it's B.S. Otherwise, simply consider the source! wink

Shoot, even Friedman is saying that show preps are going well! lol

http://www.showbiz411.com/

"...I am told that despite the auction action, the faded pop star has been rehearsing for his London concerts out in the San Fernando Valley, working out, hiring dancers and musicians, and is generally pumped right now to get his 50 shows ready. He’s already brought back long time show director Kenny Ortega, and the word is loyal ex-make up artist Karen Faye is coming back to the fold, too."

Didn't take him long to get his own blog lol

Nelson George recently announced on Twitter that he had been approached to do a book on Thriller's impact on popular culture.....

then a friend of mine confronted him about things he said during the trial...got kinda heated lol

LOL at that examiner article.

And surprised Roger took so long in creating his own blog. lmao.

Jackson 'avoids UK for fear of swine flu'

By Lara Martin, Entertainment Reporter

Michael Jackson has reportedly abandoned plans to visit Britain over fears that he might catch swine flu.

According to the Daily Express, the 'Thriller' star had hoped to travel to the UK within the next few weeks in order to find a suitable home to live in during his residency at London's O2 arena.

"Michael wanted to come over for viewings... because he wants to make sure the property is just right - after all he will be renting it from now until February next year," The Daily Telegraph quotes a source as saying.

"But that is off for the time being. We are going to send him videos. Michael doesn't want to travel because of the worry surrounding the flu outbreak."

Might be B.S. but if this flu takes off big time, these O2 gigs will probably get cancelled anyway.

Yes, and they did play! smile Other artists also had records on cereal boxes, but for whatever reason the J5 are the only ones I remember actually having.

And as you can see in the pics, the J5 cereal box promotions weren't limited to records (I don't remember the buttons, though). cool

The really interesting thing here is that MJ was already a household name (hey, I was a middle-class suburban white kid!) by the early 70's...and it's now 2009. wink

Oh please! I'm a much bigger Prince than MJ fan, but give me a break!

Now, if you want to compare Prince's 80's stuff to MJ's catalog, that would be a different conversation. wink But there ain't nothing to talk about here!

Well, you have till July to see how long this flu last.

You do know that article has a lot of errors in it, right?

Entertainment Reporter should have rang a bell to me, but I gave it a slight benefit of the doubt, considering the swine flu epidemic.

Doesn't mean it's the truth, lol. People were reporting Michael was scared of anthrax back in 2001. lol
