SWV versus TOTAL

Which you like better? I think vocally its a tie but SWV had more harmony, Total seemed like that headliner was the only one who could really sing. Wasn't one of them a lesbo? lol

I never cared for Total much, though I did LOVE "Kissing You" (maybe because Saadiq did it), but I LOVE SWV!! Sure, they weren't that great vocally, but they worked it. "I'm So Into You" is one of my favorite songs from the 90s. I love all versions and remixes.

SWV of course. Total was the start of the "girl groups for show but not for talent" trend. Now we have a slew of that in solo acts..Ashanti, Christina Milan, Nivea, Rhianna, etc. well you get the idea.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

SWV! The only songs I enjoyed from Total were "Can't You See" and "Kissing You."
It was rumored both Pam and Keisha were bi-sexual or gay. I know Keisha is with actor Omar Epps that I know of.

I like some songs by Total, but SWV all the way! FWIW, both groups recorded two of my favorite Timbaland/Missy songs, which happen to be my favorite by each: "Can We" and "What About Us."

Total had some good singles back in the day, but SWV destroys them.

Xscape destroys them too.

Very easily, RB and rock went down the drain in this decade

How is Zhane and Jade over Total and Brownstone??? And I'd take Changing Faces over Zhane/Jade/Brownstone any day. Brownstone might have had a good harmony and strong vocals to compete, but their 2nd album was ass.

Wow! You really like changing faces over these three? I thought changing
faces first album was wack. They improved on the second album but seemed
lost on the third. R.Kelly pretty much used them. To illustrate how far
they fell off, one of the members of changing faces worked with one of
my cousins at a health care facility. Sparkle knew what was up too.
Different strokes for different folks but imo changing faces were below
the talent level of these three groups. I won't even waste my time talking
about total unless it was for a booty call. lol

Really?? Changing Faces' first album wasn't bad IMO, the second one was cool but their 3rd one was weak. Besides their singles, Jade was weak. Zhane's 1st album was cool, but everything after that was forgettable. The same goes for Brownstone who could outsing just about any 90's female R&B group listed (except SWV, En Vogue & Xscape). They caught the sophomore slump harder than any of the B-class girl groups, because I thought they had the most potential. I remember first hearing that '5 miles to empty' or whatever that song was called, and thinking, "these girls are done". Such a shame.

LOL @ Sparkle. She should of taken her own advice and "be careful".

Also my two favorites by each of them (and Timbaland). I think I bought the Soul Food soundtrack just for the latter tune.

It's so tasty like pastrryyyyy!

Not to diss Changing Faces, but their music was horrible. The only decent songs on their albums were the R. Kelly tracks, the rest were garbage. Zhane's debut cd overrules all 3 of Changing Faces' projects.

Pam and Keisha..I think...the one with the short SHORT hair. The one who always had the long hair is Vida's(Murder Inc. rapper) sister.

I can't stand Xscape!!! They only had one or 2 songs that I half-way liked. They couldn't carry a tune to save their lives.
