I don't get the hatred for Britney Spears. I totally get it for someone like Cassie whos completely void of any entertainment talent. But Britney is a talented performer. No she doesnt write her own songs or play an instrument or make up her own dance moves. But shes not, and has never claimed to be, a songwriter or a choreographer. And you don't have to play an instument to be an artist. She is a PERFORMER. No one says broadway stars or actors are any less artists or talented because they dont write the movies or plays they are in. I'm not a huge fan of hers but she is definitley different from people like Cassie and that pathetic Kat Deluna, or anyone else around for 5 seconds

Oh, please, that image was part of it but hardly the only reason. She suffered because her PARENTS pimped her out to the highest bidder then practically abandoned her, leaving her to be raised/taken care of by industry insiders.




She's already on their level, whether you like it or not. It's ten years into her career and every one of her albums has gone #1. Her last two singles got to #1. Her tour is a sell out. Her crappy appearance on How I Met Your Mother gave the show its highest ratings and stopped it from being cancelled.

You'd think if people were gonna get tired of her, it would've been when she was running around crazy.

I saw them live last night and am happy to report that Kirk didn't make any mistakes, but my live Metallica collection has a good few examples. "One" on Cunning Stunts for example - he misses his cue for the solo and comes in late and makes a big old mess of it.

Not knocking him personally, he seems like a nice guy that wouldn't harm a fly. Just wish he was a better axeman.

She should have left all the paps in LA and gone somewhere peaceful, but she chose to stay in that environment. If you jump into an open flame, you're going to get burned. If you're a famous person in the middle of a messy custody battle with lots of media attention in a city where that's the norm, than what the hell did she expect? When Paris Hilton had that nervous breakdown in the back of the cop car that took her back to jail, almost everybody thought it was funny...or at least I did. at when rich and famous people get arrested for doing dumb shit...how do they not see all the mofos with cameras following? The only thing they should be doing with all those paps constantly following them is going to church and charity events so they can get the public to actually like them a little. I don't feel sorry for anyone who lacks common sense.
