I've seen people in shops buy Nickelback CDs.

I've been tempted to ask them, quite genuinely and without malice, 'Why?'.

I really really made a big effort to get into MIA, but it just wasn't clicking with me. On a side note, no one has said U2 yet. I am a fan, but they seem to have a lot of haters.

Creed & Nickelback are 2 perfect examples in why Rock & Roll is more dead than hip-hop.

And lets not forget about the overrated Evanescence.

Empress

I have a hatred for those acts that really have no talent at all. The lip-syncers, the so-called dancers and those that get writing credits but really don't have a clue.

Those that don't really sing, can't write, can't play an instrument, I usually have no respect for and no time for either. If an act can sing, play or write, I usually try to cut them some slack. I may not personally like their music, but I can always respect a person with real talent even if their music does nothing for me.

I don't see the big deal either. That new song of hers makes me want to jab a pencil into my ear canal. "Poker Face" sucks...ALOT!!! When she keeps repeating the words 'poker face', it's literally like someone running their fingernails across a chalkboard to me: painful, annoying, and pointless. mad

Irrational Hatred? hmmm I don't hate Britney; I despise her ass to the fullest. I can't stand her, but will give her the icon title for the simple fact that she somehow managed to brainwash millions of people into worshipping her for 10 years now. Anyone who can last that long on such a small amount of 'real' talent (not the image based shit that she soo heavily relies on and paying others to do the hard work for her), gets the icon title by default IMO. She's just doing what Madonna and Janet did except 10+ years after them, so still don't see what all the fuss is about. She's totally unoriginal in every way. nod

I do have irrational hatred for these two fucktards though and the pictures help in explaining why:

I hate these two asswads and can't say that I would be able to control my urge to spit on them if they were anywhere near me.

Sarah McLachlan:

I hate that wimpering quiver in her voice that I hear in every one of her songs, as though she can't bear the thought of letting one line pass without reminding you of how passionate she is.
I hate the way every one of her songs wafts along with the same gutless, wimpy, rudderless, new-agey atmosphere.
I hate that pinched look of sincerity she always wears in every one of her videos.
Gaaaa, she makes me sick.

..."Miss Ross"

...Love The Supremes, can't stand her solo.

Might be irrational, however over the years i've come to think that it centers around the material.

Mind you that this is not Moonbean level hate.
That's a scale of energy I couldn't devote to any artist. wink
