Maybe lost in translation? That's an Australian coin. A 50c one @ that. wink

Yes, I was referring to "Fifty Cent."

Pretty lame name for a rapper, I think.

Ah. Might make more sense if the picture showed the side that said what denomination the coin is. 'Cause I was looking at it like "Queen Betty raps?" confuse

Yah quite rational!

Michael Jackson
Madonna
Scissor Sisters
Pussycat Dolls
Spice Girls
Backstreet Boys
Katie Perry
Beyonce
N-Sync
Celine Dion
Mariah Carey
Holly Valance
Miley Cyrus
Jonas Brothers
Whitney Houston
Missy Elliot
High School Musical franchise
Peter Andre
Rogue Traders
Venga Boys
P Diddy
Good Charlotte
Black Eyed Peas
Usher
A & J Simpson
Hilary Duff
Lindsay Lohan
Paris Hilton
Sugababes
50 cent
Most products of the 'Idol' franchise

And there are dozens more.

Basically any one who claims to be a musician but can't read or write a single note of music notation, play any musical instruments competently, sing without the aid of autotune, compose original songs without sampling someone else's talent, hold it together as a live act without any backing tracks running and compose something we haven't heard yet, as much has become mainstream and is all recycled these days.

Along with any artist that is way past their use by date, that goes public and has a whinge about their personal life while smoking big fat cigars that have been rolled between the thighs of cuban virgins, being lit by pristine one hundred dollar notes and sunbathing with nothing but a pair of leopard print speedos with a sock in it and a pair of ray ban or prada sunglasses next to their dollar shaped swimming pool that has a gold plated Rolls Royce in it. They are the faceless epitome of crap...nod

LOL! Personally I like Creed.
The ones I can't stand are; Jessica Simpson, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers (and every other Disney act), most of the Idol winners, all country music. I'm sure that there are more...

Fair enough a lot of people dismiss metal most of the time as just noise and sometimes few of them same peeps do a good job at just scraping the surface of metal. Depends on what U have been exposed to I suppose. There are many differences and the major one is technique. These artists take great pride in their rhythmic abilities and bands of this genre are typically very tight. They have to be in order to play high notes at 130 - 150 bpm with heavily distorted and compressed guitars. There are many sub-genres of metal, everything from classic, thrash, hair, power, metalcore, mathcore, progressive, black, death, grindcore, nu-metal, speed, doom, stoner, folk, euro, viking etc... wink

I hate that wimpering quiver in her voice that I hear in every one of her songs, as though she can't bear the thought of letting one line pass without reminding you of how passionate she is.
I hate the way every one of her songs wafts along with the same gutless, wimpy, rudderless, new-agey atmosphere.
I hate that pinched look of sincerity she always wears in every one of her videos.
Gaaaa, she makes me sick.

lol that's awesome.

I don't mind a few of her songs, but your description is perfectly apt and it makes me want to hate her, heh

CREED
NICKELBACK
DAUGHTRY

eek just awful.

I also loathe:

Jewel
Natalie Merchant
Ani Difranco
John Mayer
Evanescence

But my most irrational hatred is reserved for COLDPLAY. I will admit to liking a few of their songs, but there is just something about them that makes my gag reflex itch. I think it's the level of pretension.

Britney Spears for me.

I NEVER hated her before, but since all the 11 year olds from 1999 are now 21, it's fucking unbelievable how a lot of them still think she's a viable music artist, have no grasp of the concept of live singing and actually put up on a pedestal of legends. Every word she utters or whines now on record gives me feelings of wrath. I just hate everything she stands for and the fact that this glorified Barbie doll has pulled the wool over the eyes of so many. Debbie Gibson was at least more deserving.

I know, I just remember when Britney first came out, the single cover of Baby One More Time made her look like Debbie Gibson, and I always thought Aguilera looked like Tiffany so in the first few years I used to compare them.
