I have all the four MJ Motown solo albums already. I would be interested though if they released the Stevie produced MJ album, which I assume would have been from around 73-74 time.

Yeah,I wanna hear that album too. It's from 1973.Such a shame to just let it collect dust in the vaults.

From the info I've been getting, it seems it was a Jackson 5 album with some MJ solo songs.....I'm not sure though

I refuse to buy Jackson 5 compilations unless they have unreleased tracks lol

That said, I haven't bought one since 2003 lol

I saw it at Wal-Mart yesterday. For me,it's a pointless compilation since I already have most of those songs.

I've heard the song "Farewell My Summer Love".It was played on the radio in spring 1984,years after it was originally recorded lol Motown did that alot.Whenever one of their former artists was doing well on another label, they would go into the vaults and release old music from that artist,lol....trying to "cash in".

They did the same thing in 1981,with "One Day In Your Life".That's an old song that MJ recorded in the 70s,but they released it in 1981 (post-'Off The Wall')when Michael was doing extremely well on Epic Records.

It would be a better box set if they left the Farewell My Summer Love album off it. It's quite an embarrassing album and doesn't compare to the four albums that were actually released at the time, all of which are great.

I wish they would "cash in" on their vaults more often these days.
