Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen) For no particular reason I looked this up on youtube to listen to for the first time in several years. And of all reactions I could have, it actually brought tears to my eyes. The words hit home so more now for me than they did when I first heard it. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I remember when this came out in musical form, everyone attributed the lyrical content to Kurt Vonnegut, and a number of reporters kept going up to him asking how he managed to visualize this so clearly. He kept having to tell people he didn't write this, but he admitted that it was brilliant.
The person who actually wrote this was Mary Schmich, who is a columnist for the Chicago Tribune. She mostly writes about lightweight local and society issues around Chicago, and she wrote this after seeing how some big-name celebrities were invited to speak at the commencement addresses for both the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, and she thought why not come up with her own inspired commencement address.

"Cornbread, ain't nothing wrong with that." "If you have dated a man for six months and you haven't met any of his friends, you are NOT his girlfriend." "If a man steps on your foot, let it slide, it's not worth spending the rest of your life in jail just because someone stepped on your Pumas." "Here's a horoscope...for everyone: Aquarius: you're gonna die Capricorn: you're gonna die Gemini: you're gonna die TWICE Leo: you're gonna die Scorpio: you're gonna die FUCKIN'!" "If a lady has a pierced tongue, she'll probably suck your dick. If a guy has a pierced tongue, he'll probably suck your dick." ---- FUNNY RESPONSE! I was gonna post that when I saw this thread.
