Pink is not a suck up like Madonna and Britny. And she really IS good. Great voice and good songwriting. Neither of which can be said of Madonna or Brit. Even though I tend to like Madonna- it's because of her producers and writers primarily.

So much emphasis put on Pink's looks. This is the problem with the music industry now. Looks over talent. I admit, Pink could look a bit scary at times, but this chick has pipes. I slept on Pink's vocal ability until I saw the Pepsi commercial with Pink, Beyonce, and Britney (We will Rock You). Pink has a voice for rock and although her look may not make People Magazines best dressed, she looks the part of a rocker and I respect her personality.

I don't know. Aesthetics probably have more than a passing thing to do with it. But i think she's made her peace with that. She's still wildly popular and successful in Europe. She still sells out for stadium shows here and her albums are very well received with full press tours at every turn. She's a regular fixtureonntv here, in teeny magazines and gossip rags, and snags the occasional product endorsement. So while she may have dropped off at home, she still works her butt off quite consistently, just in another market at she gets paid in euros for it. I say who cares, Girl. Keep working, touring, take your money, and live the life that you want to

Its debateable whether Britney is more liked than Pink. The U.S chart shows that Britney is far ahead, but in other major markets like UK, Germany, Australia etc, she is selling a lot less than Pink. For example, in Australia, Pink is 5x platinum after 7 weeks, while Britney hasnt approached the Platinum status yet. She has already sold out 40 arenas for her Funhouse Tour 2009 in Australia, 28 in UK and 26 in Germany, countries where even Alicia Keys cannot sell out one show.

I used to be a HUGE Pink fan. Mizundastood is still one of my fav fav albums.

But upon release of her next album, she seemed meanspirited. She led with that video mocking Lindsay, etc.

And her whole vibe changed from tough chick to bitch chick. I was personally offended. I don't align myself with artists who mock and denounce people. And the PETA thing. Give me a break.

I love Pink and saw her 2x. Once on her own and another opening for Justin Timberlake. She puts on a GREAT show,but I read that she ALWAYS had TROUBLE with LABELS NOT KNOWING which way to MARKET her and they didn't know if she was PUNK or POP MAINSTREAM. Both MADONNA and BRITNEY are MORE POP and MAINSTREAM. It seems like when a PERFORMER is a BIT EDGY their is a problem and they may have their FOLLOWING,but the MAJORITY doesn't FANCY them.
