Because Pink is f*cking annoying and pretentious as hell! She's a contender for my least favorite female act of all time. I'm not a fan of Britney's music, but at least she knows what she is- a pop starlet. Pink seems to think she's a serious artist who has the clout to make fun of other pop tarts when that's exactly what she is.

Pink doesn't wear a dress as often as Madonna OR Britney.

As the American public can imagine Madonna & Britney being bi-curious and/or bisexual (READ: still like men no matter how often they women), the public can only see Pink within a few steps away from being butch up lesbian (READ: if she can't wear the pant in the relationship, she'll divorce you).

Well Katherine Hepburn wore pants all the time (despite being straight and carrying on with a married man, Tracy Spenser, for years). So I don't think ber butchness and image is the only reason.

I got to agree with that, too.

She isnsits upon herself. This is actually in the urban dictionary!

"Something most think is profound but in reality is pretentious and ostentatious."

Seriously, if gotta keep telling people you are bad ass and real.....BRitney's flawed, but she knows it and sort of embraces it.

i do agree, but even stellar artists like Prince are not above namechecking other stellar artists and trying to take the piss, are they serious? i doubt it. Why some folk see it as declaring war is beyond me, i bet most of these guys just shrug it off.

Besides, Pink vs Jessica Simpson and Paris? anyone gonna defend those two's honour vs Pink? really. they deserve it.

It's not just "Stupid Girls". I saw her do an interivew in Canada and while I sort of like her personality, it was a lot of "I'm real and I don't take shit" type stuff. We get it. It's not that she is pretentious, really....but damn does she insist upon herself!

I like Pink a lot, and I don't think there are bad lyrics in her songs, just the opposite. The things is that she's a rebel and maybe some people prefer more mellow submitted girls.

I don't.

I WANNA START A FIGHT, SO WHAT?

I guess that's why I can stand a bad lyric from Britney but not Pink.

Like everyone said, the "I HATE EVERYONE! I'M A REBEL!" thing got old quick. I like that she's a mainstream feminist and all but I find myself liking her slower songs a lot more than the in your face ones.

She can be a lovely singer, but you'd never know it by her singles (except maybe Who Knew?)

I dunno, she's corny and I agree the persona (which mostly comes through on singles) is wearing thin, but I like her overall. She's a teen pop star, and frankly I'd rather my teen (if I had one) be obsessed with her than the slutty, vapid, no-singing-talent ones.

Katherine never had issues with her husband "wearing the pants" like Pink does. Plus, Katherine stay married to Spenser until the time of his death.

She can sing a hell of a lot better than Madonna and Britney.

Love this song from her new cd:

You mean they were "shacking up" in the 1950's?!? THAT is controversial in itself (which isn't a big deal in our time today).

Huh. I liked Pink when she was R&B and then fell off after that. I started digging her when I hard "Dear Mr. President" I have respect for her. She writes her own songs (contrary to what someone else said" and she can be deep. I just bought her latest album and I like it. I don't think there is anything wrong with her serious angry image. We need that just as much as the meaningless fun stuff. She serves a purpose and will always represent the angst out there, those that are going through some shit

They weren't just shacking. He was married to someone else and stayed married to her, but lived with Katharine and nobody batted a fucking eye
