Without a glam squad on call, most not only pop stars, but actresses and models are not what they appear to the public. Though Madonna is no natural beauty, with the right make up, hair, and lighting, she is attractive. People praise Sarah Jessica Parker, but I have seen her in person without make up, and she looks wretched. I am in the beauty industry who have worked on many photo shoots and fashion weeks, believe me, without makeup and hair , most are beastly.

i do find it staggering that her body elicits such extreme responses from people. Since she had kids, her body has definitely changed, and has certainly become more sinewy, lean and less in the conventional female mould.

IMO she looked at her best between 91 & 97. Just the right balance between toned and fleshy. I think she perhaps does push herself too hard nowadays and every other pap photo you see of her she looks haggered - but having seen her at Wembley recently, i can say that she does it in the pursuit of her career as she had more energy than ive ever seen her perform with. Its her damn body - she can do what she wants with it.

As for whether she beautiful or not - shes certainly never been a conventional beauty - but for me its all in the eyes. She has stunning eyes - and i can think of few who can work a camera like she can.

i think she looks ok enough for 50. maybe she sould be a little less concerned
with looking skinny and "young" and, dare i say it, start behaving a bit more
like her age. for instance, with her experience, i keep wondering why she just
sticks to modern/contemporary hip/dance music. surely a woman with her fanbase
and her power shouldn't have to be affraid to make a grown up album with some
introspective adult music. real instruments, beautiful melodies and just a bit
more stripped down grown up approach.

i mean, bruce springsteen is fine at what he does and it suits him but if he
would make albums like enrique iglesias and tried to dress/dance/act like him
he would look like a sad old fool. that's my theory.

madonna looked and sounded more like her true self (whatever that is) during
the bedtime stories era and even more so during the like a prayer era. when
she released "ray of light" she was probably at her most beautiful/comfortable.

after that she stuck to a gimmick and it became too old, too fast. it's like
she's stuck in some warp and can't get out of it.

does that mean she's ugly? no it doesn't. it just means she's hanging on to
something that doesn't suit her too well when she could be so much more.

Once again, that pic is photoshopped to make her look like a granny, Madonna is in great shape and doesn't look her age at all.

Go to a concert and you'll see that the pics the press have been releasing with her looking tired and face sunking in, isn't her real self, their photoshopped to make her look old and starving, they've done this before to Tyra, making her look gigantic and rev run look like a tub boat in the water, its all lies and madonna is very attractive, not the ugliest!!!
