Yes. They are the last of the HUGE popstars. Michael being the one who got the true superstar status.

Michael is not dead at all. People like to act like he is, but he isn't. The man can release a pile of shit and it will get to number 1 around the world - after all the press hes got for the past 10 years... that's an achievement in itself.

I would say the last "pop" star is Britney though, meaning she has lasted for 10 years almost.

Michael and Madonna are more then just popstars. They are MEGA stars. There in the league of Elvis and Marilyn as far as fame and iconicness goes. The last popstar is Britney.

Madonna's just marketing, fashion and cabala.

Michael Jackson is dead.

So I guess Prince..... yes, he is. And a lot, lot more than that.

-Nope, believe it or not Madonna is about music too lol. If the music wasn't any good, she would have burned out a long time ago.

-The Michael of today may be dead to many, but the MJ of Thriller and the 80's will NEVER die. He will live on forever in that sense.

-Spoken like a true P fan smile
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

I wouldn’t imagine many 6 or 10 year olds being into Prince. MJ is just up their alley.

Popular or not Prince doesn’t really appeal to kids. But he’s definitely alive and kicking.

Most definitely. Prince is a much deeper artist and composer than Michael Jackson. Again, it's always been a shame to compare the two of them.

Yeah besides the fact that they're black, androgynous and both rose to superstardom in the '80s, they're two entirely different artists. In fact Prince, Madonna and MJ are so fucking different comparisons be damned.

Yeah,if Madonna was really just about marketing and fashion, she wouldn't have survived past 1986.She's proven to be so much more than just shock tactics and fashion.

Prince,MJ and Madonna are the last iconic "pop stars" that really mattered. They have all done things that today's so-called artists will never be able to do.I mean, think about it...

Who's the Madonna of this generation?
Who's the Michael Jackson of this generation?
who's the Prince of this generation?

There are alot of people trying to imitate them, but the three of them are originals.I think the days of huge, influential pop icons are over.

You said it all really. We've not seen one like them since and I doubt we will see one again.
