"Older albums" you still listen to regularly!

Nowadays people have such short attention spans when it comes down to music. Even soemthing from a couple of years ago are regarded as old but i'm talking about stuff atleast 15 years old or more. Here's my list!

1) The Look - Shalamar (at least once a month. i love this album)
2) Heartbreak - Shalamar ( about once every few months)
3) Night & Day - Al B. Sure (once or twice a year)
4) Appetite for destruction - G N' R (a few times a year)
5) Rockwell
6) The Girls
7) Rick James - Cold Blooded & Street Songs (every few months)
8) Xperiment & Pleasure Seekers - The System ( every few weeks)

I pretty much listen to 80's music exclusively with the exception of a few current albums. There are many more that i'll add on later. How about you??

actually, quite a lot of what i listen to is at least 15 years old. maybe even most of it. it would be interesting to talk to people under 20 and hear what kind of old stuff they like. i listened to the beatles, sly, jimi and janis a lot when i was a teenager. to me that was old skool. annie lennox is probably to kids today what grace slick was to me when i was a kid. weird.

i think young kids with hipster music geek parents (which should be a lot, considering gen x'ers are starting to become parents of teenagers - SCARY) will probably grow up having pretty eclectic musical tastes. all the old stuff i listed was because i'd dig through my mom's old records from the 60s and pick out stuff that looked cool or had songs i recognized.

i know if i ever have a kid, it will be raised to WORSHIP all three deee-lite albums and to be able to sing along with every song, word for word, by the time they're ready for preschool. whip dancing jig

Funny. My mp3 player is full of oldies.

A selection of Disco, late 70's and early 80's funk. Latin trova from the 70's and 80's too.
And as I'm in a Donna Summer crave, I have a folder with around 30 songs she recorded in her 17 years of silence. (I think that's the newest)

+ Crayons, Of course lol

I'd say nearly all of the albums I listen to regularly are from the 80s or earlier anyway, with some notable exceptions from this decade being:

Björk- Vespertine
Annie- Anniemal
Gorillaz- Demon Days
LCD Soundsystem- Sound of Silver

I'm with y'all. The only music I listen to is old music and the only time I listen to something new is when Prince or Jamiroquai comes out with a new album.

I'm the opposite of most people here in that I listen to a lot of current music, like from the last five years. But the oldies that get played the most would be these two:

The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground and Nico
Dusty Springfield - Dusty In Memphis
