Every complaint he had about her was about money. It seemed to me he didn't care about his sister as a person but just about her money and fame and what he could take from her.
He claimed she had only mediocre talent. I'd like to know why he continued to work for someone whose talent he didn't respect.
I think he's jealous of her relationship with Guy because he's not the #1 person in her life anymore. I think Guy is your average straight guy. He doesn't really have that much in common with gay people and maybe doesn't understand them because he's a man's man who like to go to pubs and such. But I really don't think Guy is a hateful person who goes around attacking gay people. In fact, Chris in the book said when he first met Guy he was friendly.

Yeah,I kinda get the feeling that Chris is jealous of Guy.In the Good Morning America interview,he is asked what happened to his relationship with his famous sister. He replied "Guy Ritchie pretty much happened to our relationship, for the most part" rolleyes Boo hoo,cry me a river! It seems like he can't accept the fact that people grow, they evolve, they move on in life.He should have spent more time establishing his own career instead of waiting for Madonna to come to his rescue everytime.

I almost didn't read this 'cos I thought it would be boring, but I'm glad I did, since it's a great laugh. My favourite bit was that last email he sent her. "I gave up my life to help make you the evil queen you are today. Fifteen years listening to your bitching, egotistical rantings, mediocre talent and a lack of taste that would stun the ages." falloff clapping Ha! Ha! Ha!!

The thing is though, these extracts tell us NOTHING about Madonna we didn't already know. Her hypocrisy and egotism is hardly news. For instance what he said about her not practising the tenets of Kaballah, but just using it as a weapon has been obvious from the start. I didn't need Chris to tell me that. I recall an incident in 2003 where she was humiliating one of her employees in the presence of an interviewer. The interviewer said it showed that she was a long way away from what she preaches about the Kaballah. It gives her a feeling of superiority to be one of "the select few". There is nothing selfless about her interest in Kaballah. It's the ultimate ego trip.

Still, these extracts gave me a good laugh. I have to say though, it is TERRIBLY WRITTEN! Poor writing skills must run in the family.

Definitely. I've been in that situation myself when close friends of mine got into a committed relationship or married and they didn't have as much time for me anymore and I felt left out. At first, you want to get angry at your friend, but eventually to realize people's lives change and as most people get older their lives revolve around their spouses. Does Chris have a romantic relationship with anyone? Too bad he can't find his own partner so his life doesn't revolve around his sister.

Christopher has made ALOT of money throughout the years,by working with Madonna. The problem is,he blew most of his money on drugs and now he doesn't have anything to show for it.We can't blame Madonna for how his life turned out.

I think if there was any major dirt we'd have heard it by now. Itll mostly be him relaying stories that highlight various traits in her personality we've all known about for years. Her selfish, ruthless, cuntish streak. Im most interested to hear about her drug taking - as Id always assumed she was pretty straight in this area.

If I had a rich sibling, I wouldn't want them to just give me money. I'd rather have my diginity and do my own thing. I wouldn't want to be seen as some kind of charity case.
Now, I can see giving a lot of money to your parents if they are elderly and retired and have worked hard all their lives, given what your parents have done for you to take care of you and raise you. But why should someone have to support their siblings who are young and still able bodied. Siblings haven't given you the same kind of caring and support and guidance your parents have.

I imagine for anyone coming after Chris's generation, writing books like this won't be possible anymore, especially since you've got gossip blogs updating any minute piece of info on people moment by moment, even if you just see them buying asprin at Walmart or hear them farting out loud. This was breezy and readable and gave a sense that you were getting a peak behind the mystique that is Madonna. That was a meaty enough excerpt, I think. I wouldn't mind reading even a little more.

Now...I wonder where SoulAlive is? You know he doesn't miss a beat where his Madge is concerned. I was thinking he would have been all over this biggrin!

He's VERY articulate and credible IMO. I've always liked him and you know something major must've happened because he's been the guardian of her secrets when she was at her MOST skanless and you never heard a peep from him.

So, if you were worth a $1 billion you'd leave your parents and siblings in their lil ol' houses with financial problems unless they were elderly and retired? hmmm Mmmmmmkay. . .

My parents are very wealthy. They paid for me to go to school, but they don't support me anymore. I support myself. I don't live the kind of super privileged lifestyle they do. They have a huge house, I have a small one bedroom apartment. I don't expect my parents to give me tons of money so I can live the same lifestyle they do. They give me nice presents on my birthday and what not, but I don't see why they should give my some super fancy lifestyle. I'd rather work for what I get not be dependent on them.

Well, good for them but did you read my post? It's a hypothetical question. IF you were a billionaire and your closest family members were living on a budget in their old homes with financial problems you wouldn't help them??? IF your answer's "no" then I guess the old adage "Charity begins at home" doesn't mean much to you. shrug

After reading most of what her brother has said, I feel bad for Madge, in a sense This reminds me of what LaToya did with her brother and her family. Bitter siblings with no real talent writing books on the talented siblings just because they can. It is a real shame. No respect for family.

Money overtakes your mind, plus his sister has power. He risked damnation if he ever fucked with her. I guess this is his last resort is to do this.

If he works as an interior and set designer then create your own career. She'd be nice on the resume but she would not be my bread and butter. When it ends you end up angry, bitter, resentful and would just probably write a book to hurt someone who probably cares less than you think.

Surely Christopher had a good resume to find more interior design jobs??

As the old cliche says, money and blood don't mix, and over time I could see him getting paid less while putting his all into his work out of love for his sister. At the same time, Madonna's final "You hate the fact that you have to work for me/There is no sense of urgency or gratitude" says it all. I sense Christopher felt entitled, which is part of the problem. Even in areas he might have embellished (ie. complaining about staying in servant's quarters in the wedding castle) you get the feeling he expected to be coddled somewhat.

Sibling or not, if I hated working for my sister so much, I would have resign years ago.

The other thing is, I would feel horrible giving my brother or sister money so they could destroy themselves with drugs. We all know Madonna is against hard drugs. Christopher can't hit rock bottom and get better if she keeps giving him money.

Some people said Madonna offered to pay for rehab and Christopher turned that down. sad
