Donna Summer Tour Summer 2008

What do you all think the Donna Summer tour is gonna be like? Isn't she like totally into Jesus now? You think it's gonna be some shit like "here's 12 out of the 15 tracks on my new album and a 12 minute medley of the shit you all REALLY want to hear"? Just curious. She's playing right down the street from my house in July. With older acts far past their prime you always are taking the risk of them totally embarrassing themselves and I don't want to go see her if I am going to wind up feeling sorry for her ass...however, if she is gonna come correct and ready to school motherfuckers about disco by getting a tight-ass band that can play their asses off and rocking "Bad Girls" and long-ass versions of "I Feel Love" and shit then I am definitely going. If it's gonna be some lame fucking Vegas bullshit for over the hill yuppies than fuck it.

Nah, she still has a huge gay following and she does most of the songs in its full lengths.

I haven't seen her in live in concert but I assume it won't be unlike what she did for her "Live and More Encore" special. She does the hits, in nearly full length (if anything, cuts them for time and/or to include more songs). Some of the new arrangements, especially the unexciting neutured version of "This Time..." where the background singers did most of the chorus, is blah!

Her new CD 'Crayons' is due next month so she'll probably include alot of new songs in her set.

Um, I bet she doesn't, actually. Absolutely NO ONE is coming to hear her sing any new songs. She'll do 2 or 3, but she knows what the people want and she will deliver.
I don't want this to end

Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the arrangements on "Live and More Encore", I would still like to see her live but it looks like she alone with everyone else is avoiding Detroit like the plague! Honestly, has it gotten that bad in Michigan?
