Goldfrapp - Royal Festival Hall - Live Video

I attended the concert last night at the Royal Festival Hall. It was quite magical - Alison performed with a five piece band and a 12 piece string section. For the last three songs she was joined by six back-up singers.

See the link below for a vid of the final song:

Interesting.....looks a bit hippie-ish! Does this tour also feature the electronic music of Cherry & Supernatural?

Well they played all of their new album (except for Some People) plus Utopia, Paper Bag, You Never Know, Satin Chic, Ooh La La (honky tonk version), Number One, and Strict Machine.

The concert wasn't as 'pastoral' as Seventh Tree might suggest - Strict Machine and Number One got everyone dancing!

How could they leave out Some People??! It's one of the strongest tracks on the album, IMO. I hope they add it to the set by the Royal Albert Hall gig...

Of course "Some People" is my favorite song on the new album. confused

Can Goldfrapp afford to bring the string section to New York at the end of this month? hmmm I would love to see them live with strings.
