I cannot believe that a person that is named after one of the most Beatle-esque prince songs in the world denounces EVERYTHING the Beatles ever did. You just haven't heard the right tracks. It's the reputation you hate more than anything else, it closes your mind for the actual music. I wish I was in Oz and I could play you just ten tracks. Then totally pounce you if you dislike them. Here we go again! I'm not going to say their material is worthless. It's rather self-centered of me to believe that just because I haven't gotten anything out of their music, others must be wrong to get something out of it. I understand that I'm the one missing out. And I'm not denouncing everything- I simply don't like what I've heard, and I have heard a fair deal. Just in the past month, I've heard the following as part of a poll I ran: A Day in the Life Strawberry Fields Forever Tomorrow Never Knows I Am the Walrus Eleanor Rigby Yesterday Blackbird Happiness Is a Warm Gun Revolution And Your Bird Can Sing I can appreciate the impact of these songs (and others), and I would be a fool to deny their influence (not that I haven't been a fool before), but I... just don't like them. A lobotomy is on order. Hehehe. I can totally understand people not liking their music but I remember the first time we talked about this, in chat, in 2001/02. And then it was all about the reputation. But being exposed to Aaron and Chris for longer periods has not changed your mind, so I am certainly won't have a chance. Hell, I do not even want to convert you, after all. Herman loves The Beatles. Herman rolls eyes @ Ian.

Their reputation, or more accurately, some overzealous and bigoted fans, did play a part in my distaste for them. But at the end of the day, I can't erase their voices and superimpose more Ian-friendly vocals, nor can I change the tinny sound or the personalities of the members. Until that happens, I doubt I'll like their songs. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!
