Rhythm Nation Janet is my favorite, musically and visually. She looked hot in every video... "Miss You Much," "Rhythm Nation," "Alright," "Black Cat," "Love Will Never Do (Without You)"... nod

Gimme Rhythm Nation Janet anytime of the week.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Definitely Rhythm Nation Janet, even though Damita Jo was a good one also. Personally though, I'd take The Velvet Rope Janet over anything because at that time, Janet showed her true self and she had that natural look that I love. Also the whole VR album was classic to me.

Comparing Rhythm Nation or janet. era Janet to Damita Jo is like comparing Purple Rain to Emancipation era Prince. It's just not fair.

Rhythm Nation and janet. are near perfect albums and she'll never top them.

She already did with "The Velvet Rope" (and "Control" is superior to both janet. and RN1814 IHMO).

I used to think TVR was her best album too. But it hasn't aged as well as RN1814 and janet. Plus it disappears up its own ass a little bit. Still a great album, and a contender for her best, but in retrospect, I think janet. and RN1814 her her best.

it's a given that janet did something special in each era, but since this question is pertaining to those two eras, her music was way better during rhythm nation, and she dressed way better during damita jo. I liked the black outfits, but there wasn't much variety then, and she has prettier eyebrows now.
