Do you guys think this tour will be a success? Will Mary's fans really pay that much to see her? I know there are certain artists who can get away with charging excessive prices (Madonna,Rolling Stones,Barbara Streisand),but what about Mary?

I think the difference is Rolling Stones and Barbra got that baby boomer market. Were any of those artists ticket prices close to $350??

The Stones' tickets were,if I'm not mistaken.Barbara's were even more than that. The good seats for Madonna's last tour were $350.

How much did Madonna tickets cost in the 90s? That's kinda where I think Jay-Z and Mary J Blige are at. If they show longevity into the next decade then they could probably command that type of price.

Madonna only did one complete tour in the 90s (Blond Ambition in 1990) and I remember paying only $35 to see her.Can you believe that tickets were actually that cheap back then? LOL.

I think it's a risk - there's definitely gonna be some backlash from a seemingly large part of their fan base. But hey, if they pull it off shrug for that kinda price though, Mary BETTER keep her ass ON KEY exclaim

Mary and Jay-z both sell out here in NYC

I think Jay's last show here was around 150.00 notinluding the Ticketmaster fee's

I paid around 120.00 for Mary's Break Through Tour

It's Funny because Janet's RN tour was 35.00 and I belive i paid around 140.00 for the All For You Tour

I have no doubt that they will see out the Show's in the NYC area, just wondering how they will do in the smaller places

It just seems to me that they are asking for the amount of Money they would ask for if they were 2 seperate shows around 150.00 each

These guys are big...but not worthy of a $350 ticket. First of all, I wouldn't think that they have a fan base that would pay that kind of money for each of them. 2ndly, their shows are not great at all. Jay-Z uses only a track and stands on stage like a dunce. Mary performs well, but not well enough for $300. Hell, I'd have to think twice about paying that much for Prince, Michael, or Janet.

what do you get for that?

neither one of them are known for over the top concerts a la the Stones, Madonna, Michael Jackson or whomever.

The most expenisive Spice Girls ticket was 120 and they had a great show and not on the road for 10 years.

I think they will sell out. It will be more of love fest then a concert. I would rather spend my $ more wisely, but the market is out there for this show.
since Run & Them were saying "Here we go"
