I want to like Aretha's performance but I'm not feeling it. Sorry ya'll. I respect her for what she has achived and inspired, but this performance, not so much.
The highlight for me thus far was still Prince's funny remark at the top of the show. I loved how he walked on the stage like it was the set of Purple Rain. He looked like a super-hero. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

yea i did say something about it earlier, but nobody said anything. he also had a caucasion woman with him wearing a "nigger" t-shirt as well which is very inappropriate. It's bad enough he's wearing it, but then again you got these ignorant ass black folk with these outrageous ideas for album names. I use to have a lot of respect for NAS but now, he's just as good as Soulja Boy to me, just plain ole dumb. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I hope Amy shows his cocky ass and wins. well its a true statement. Graduation was way better than Finding Forever. Listen ya'll Kanye is gonna be Kanye. Either you hate him or love him, there's no in between, so get over it already. No matter how most of ya'll hate him or dislike his attitude on here, he's still gonna sell out stadiums all over the world because HE IS....KANYE. and there it is.... I'll leave it and take Prince besides he deserves to be arrogant and cocky and has been selling out music halls, stadiums and whatnot since waaaaay before there was a notion of naming Kanye...Kanye. &

Then he said Amy and some other dude who's nominated they deserved it as much as him; but he probably just said that because he probably knows he's not gonna win/get snubbed. Well Graduation was a good album. I was cheering him during the whole Kayne vs 50 thing too "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Them straps look like they were going to cut off homegirl's circulation. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I truly love gospel music. And Detroit represented with Aretha, The Clarks, and a Winans.

Another major difference is that Prince is rarely disrespectful in his arrogance. Prince may boast about his greatness but he does it without putting others down, unlike Kanye.

I completely disagree. She did the whole band thing on SNL. She proved she hold it down with just her and a very cool minimal sounding horn section. I think she gets more props for that! Music is the best...

But making her perform with Kid Rock? Why not just bitch-slap her a few times backstage and spare her the embarrassment. "I Was FINE Back in the Day!"
