Brotherhood and Power, Corruption and Lies are big favourites of mine. I think Way of Life off of Brotherhood is the great forgotten NO song.

I adore New Order! Power, Corruption & Lies and Technique are my favorites, although "World" is my favorite song of theirs.

Another unheralded New Order song I adore (my 2nd fave) is "Vanishing Point". "Dreams Never End" is fantastic also! love

I'm also big on the classics like:

"Ceremony"
"Everything's Gone Green"
"Temptation"
"Blue Monday"
"Age of Consent"
"Shellshock"
"Crystal"

Ah, I'm a big admirer of the '81/82 ep, but I always forget to mention it whenver this topic comes up. I truly enjoy every minute of that record. I also really like Vanishing Point - Dream Attack too. I'm a little luke-warm on the first half of Technique though.

That 81/82 EP is grand! "Procession", "Hurt" and "Mesh" (er "Cries and Whispers" I suppose) are all gold!

Got into New Order about a year ago when someone played me the album "Get Ready". Loved that album so i went bought "Waiting for the sirens' call", which i liked even more.

"the singles" i wasn't so sure about cause the earlier songs didn't seem to rock as much and seemed a little plain at first, but defintaly grown on me now.

Favourite songs: bizzare love triangle, regret, run, everything's gone green,60 miles an hour, slow jam,run wild, waiting for the sirens' call, krafty, turn, working overtime...
We're here, might as well get into it.

Definitely go buy Brotherhood immediately. It's the rockiest, and full of amazing songs that aren't on a lot of the best ofs.

I'm kinda with you damo. Their 81/82 EP, PC&L and Brotherhood are easily their most consistent. I think Technique is really over-rated among fans and critics. I still think it's a great record, but nowhere near their best. The highs are really high and stand out because house was so shit hot at the time and they incorporated that into their sound very successfully. I know I'm a weirdo, but I even like Low-Life and Get Ready more than that album.

I like that EP with "Dreams Never End" on it. The John Peel Sessions version of that was the first place I heard it.
