The T.A.M.I. Show

Has anyone here ever seen the T.A.M.I. show (Teenage Age Music International.) It's considered by many as the greatest Rock 'N' Roll concert film ever. The line-up was pretty amazing for a show held October 28/29 of 1964 in Santa Monica, California.

Here is the line-up:
* The Barbarians
* The Beach Boys
* Chuck Berry
* James Brown and The Famous Flames
* Bo Diddley with The Duchess
* Marvin Gaye
* Gerry and the Pacemakers
* Lesley Gore
* Jan and Dean
* Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas
* Smokey Robinson and The Miracles
* The Rolling Stones
* The Supremes

The performance of the night was 'James Brown and the Famous Flames'. The closers of the night were the Rolling Stones, who from reports, were scared to follow and act like James Brown. I've even read that they had to drag Mick Jagger out to the stage. Never the less, it's still considered the greatest (or one of the greatest) concert films of All-Time

So has anyone ever seen the whole show? I've only seen clips of James Brown's and the Rolling Stone's performances.

Damn. This sounds fantastic.

I didn't even know such a thing existed until your thread.

It's probably rotting away in some vault right now. Not marketable, you know?

Got it, love it, discussed it here:

The DVD version i've got also includes the complete Beach Boys performance.
Keith Richards has reportedly said that following James Brown on that show was the biggest mistake of their lives.

It's available from Video Beat for $29.

theAudience, how would you rank the performances from the show, from best to worse or something like that?

You know I haven't watched the DVD in so long i'd have to give it another look before I could go top to bottom.

The Godfather would definitely be numero uno.
He had the audience going berserk.

There was a similar type of show done in 1966...

...called The Big T.N.T. Show

Featured more 60s Rock acts and was hosted by David McCallum
(Illya Kuryakin from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. TV series.)

Joan Baez
The Byrds
Ray Charles
Petula Clark
Bo Diddley
Donovan
Ike & Tina Turner
The Lovin' Spoonful
Roger Miller
The Modern Folk Quartet
The Ronettes

I don't have this one yet but i'm sure it's available from the Video Beat site.
