No. I did that more with industrial, goth and hard rock kinda stuff. New Order is more like dancing naked on a beach at night tripping on acid. Not that I've done that.

Anyone listen to The Radio Dept.? They're this little Swedish band that owes a lot to New Order. They get the hommage right without seeming like a send-up or 'wink wink' retro band. And they mix a fair amount of shoegazey, noise rock with it so that keeps things fresh. I like 'em.

Haven't heard 'em. Sound of Silver has a few New Order-esque elements too. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

But how did you get turned onto them after all this time since then? "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

I also really like Vanishing Point - Dream Attack too. I'm a little luke-warm on the first half of Technique though. I'm kinda with you damo. Their 81/82 EP, PC&L and Brotherhood are easily their most consistent. I think Technique is really over-rated among fans and critics. I still think it's a great record, but nowhere near their best. The highs are really high and stand out because house was so shit hot at the time and they incorporated that into their sound very successfully. I know I'm a weirdo, but I even like Low-Life and Get Ready more than that album. N.O. is one of the ones of yorus I really wish I'd put on my iPod before the computer crashed. I got the Cure, Tori, Annie, Eurythmics, Sigur Ros. Why not New Order? Damn it. I kind of wanted to listen to them today "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

How is putting out a greatest hits or singles collection selling out? The album was actually compiled at the request of their record label boss, Tony Wilson. He wanted a collection of their singles to play in his car but instead of making a tape at home he had this collection released to save himself the trouble I live in Manchester so I pretty much grew up with their music and have seen them live many times. These songs bring back great memories from the 80s.
