Well I was told it sold closer to 900K. Anyway, if Ciara's sophmore effort only sold ONE THIRD the amount of her first CD, I don't see how anyone could put her into the same category as Janet in terms of success. I know she may EMULATE Jan but I don't think that's an artist who is ready for that type of comparison. Like the other person said, she may be the next Aaliyah. (Or maybe even Ashanti...and that's not good) I like Ciara though BUT her moves always seem to consist of "booty poppin" and "floor crawling". Even Aaliyah learned to switch up her dancing style with each video as her movie career started to take off. But I hear Ci-Ci's movie is coming out this year. I hope she brings something fresh to it so that she can establish more of an identity for herself. Not this baby Janet moniker she seemed to adopt after "Goodies". | |
