I have these. I've never been a fan of Eminem (other than "Stan") and I absolutely loathe Nelly and Juvenile (although "Ha" never fails to make me laugh, so I guess comic relief counts for something). I'm apparently a bizarro 2Pac fan, because I really only liked him during the early "If My Homie Calls"/"I Get Around"/"Brenda's Got a Baby"/"Keep Ya Head Up" phase. I still don't know how they can leave "If My Homie Calls" off his hits albums.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this list: People need to buy more P.E. and Eric B. & Rakim. disbelief

im not even into rap like that.. and i dont believe that list.. was some awards show awhile back where it was said that OutKast was the only rap group that went Diamond on some album .. i could be very wrong, but i dont believe some of this list ..Eminem is a good rapper and i would put him in the top 10 group, but not #1 ..

Exactly. Just because an album is CERTIFIED Diamond, doesn't mean it has actually SOLD 10,000,000. This is RAW sales data, not certifications from record companies.

Just as an example, Mariah is NOTORIOUS for having albums CERTIFIED well above what the actual RAW SALES are (in the 90's moreso)...EX: Daydream is CERTIFIED Diamond by the RIAA but it actually has only SCANNED close to 7.6 million copies (as of early this year). This list actually looks pretty damn accurate, before even opening the thread I assumed Eminem would be number one on the list just based on RAW SALES DATA....NOT CERTS!

Kind of surprises me that Public Enemy, Cypress Hill & NWA are all absent, I remember those acts completely ruling in the years their big records came out.

Maybe they only ruled my subculture of "white alternative rocker dudes that also like some rap, especially the edgy stuff."

Of this list, I own Snoop's debut & the Beasties'.
