Love Rears its ugly head

Are there any living colour fans out there?
This was my favorite song by living colour although cult of personality
was more popular. This song just has that rock-bluesy vibe and corey
glover sings the song with conviction. Great song by the band.

I've loved that song since they released it. The wondrous strings intro... The bluesy chord progression... the all-out, four-note rock hook that leads into the chorus... Vernon's solo... the fretless bass work... all of it. A gem.

I always appreciated Letterman's band kicking into it on commercial breaks, too.

Great song off a great album. I haven't played it in probably 15 years, but I still remember it well.

They're still an amazing band. I saw them play at the Jazz Cafe in London this year and they blew me away.
I got to stand right in front of Doug and watch him dance all over his pedals.
They don't get the credit they deserve, they're incredible musicians.

My husband is a huge fan, so I'm familiar with their music. I like them too, but I don't hear much of them lately. Sounds like they're still around doing their thing though.

Ironically after i posted this thread a couple of days ago, one of my co-workers informed me that LC is supposed to be playing at a place called ziggy's
in winston-salem,nc Nov. 10. He is supposed to check it out and confirm it.
Possibly four of us will go if the date is confirmed. biggrin

Love 'em. A thread about LC gets going around about once a month and I always try to comment.
Some folks around here know some of the guys and usually gives updates on them.
Last I heard, they were working on a new album and they have a live DVD (band sanctioned) ready for release soon.
I prefer the newer stuff or Doug Wimbish-era. Collideoscope and Stain.
But in essence, I like it all.
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

I'll be on the look-out to confirm. I hear late in the year are a few shows to test out new songs and touch base with fans and such.
