Its funny hearing you guys go on and on about a dude i actually had the DISpleasure of spending a few weeks with in the studio recording two years ago...
He has talent (for a Hip Hop producer) ie: cant really do shit with music but knows his way around a sampler well..and has a solid team of actually musically talented people that he can call to come in and play an instrument or two whenever he cant get clearance for a sample.. But His attitude in the media and in real life is BULLSHIT ! for that reason alone i would never put him in a class above OK.. And i feel sorry for the people that go out and buy his stuff...If you met him he'd happily tell you that that You and millions of other people are on his Di*k cause he's the shit !

I like the guy, but i think that that is what is bothering me about him as well. he is talented, no doubt, but he thinks he can take that style and I give him credit for getting truer hip hop out to the masses, but, he is using gangsta style tracks to do it. and to me he is under the impression that he has saved true hip hop by using these types of tracks for radio play and sales. to me his style is going left and sounding a lot like jay z. if he really wants to show his skills get back with mos def and kalib. 50's song topics all sound the same. some chick he fantasizes of getting a piece from. nipsy

This just goes to show how fucked up and twisted people's thinking is these days. They use musicians as a last resort. It should be the other way around. Musicians should be the first priority. These damn shit hoppers just make me madder and madder as each day goes by. There's absolutely no hope of music ever getting back on track. It's hopeless. Andy is a four letter word.

Gay women don't like men like that,( I think he was talking about a bisexual woman) unless he wants to be friends with her or something...basically, he's a good producer, but he just needs tp proof read some of his raps, cause they don't make sense...but I love the Prince and Appolonia reference in the song!! That just says it all. I really believe the Music Industry needs another name instead of "Producer" 4 guys like Kanye. It just disrespects the name. The fact that Kanye has the same title as Quincy Jones just disturbs me.

Get it now? I see men going after lesbians doing it to make themselves feel superior because they are insecure themselves. They go after a weak minded confused lesbian that don't know what the hell she is so she sleeps with them. That makes them feel like a real big man because they have slept with someone that supposedly doesn't sleep with men. Then they turn around and talk about gay men like a dog but they sleep with them in private. A lesbian with any pride wouldn't give a man the time of day. If you catch that muscle bound straight guy, he's no longer straight. I've had many like that myself and I always let them know...."Motherfucker, you ain't straight. You just slept with me so what the hell does that make you". That pisses them off and I love it. Andy is a four letter word.

Count me in as one of the people who doesn't understand the fuss over Kanye West. More importantly, I don't know if some of his supporters don't understand why he is so hyped up. I've never read anything saying his rhyming style/voice, so it's not that (someone on another thread said that he sounds like some lame college student who is learning how to rap for the first time). I can't call his songwriting quality or production skills particularly innovative. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. 975,000 copies of his new record sold? how? in this day and age of illegal downloading, how did 975,000 people in one week legally purchase it? something's fishy...

It's worth the purchase. Just as was Nelly Furtado's Loose (which I think is the best album of the year). And with songs like Stronger, it appeals to the pop audience too. IMO Straight Jacket Funk Affair
