Well i hate to say it but the show is merely a reflection of whats out there, or more than that a reflection of what MTV is now, which is nothing, MTV has no meaning anymore. Whether its in Vegas or LA or Miami or NYC, mtv is done at this point. Hey why not let Duran Duran open? They have a new album and single, oh wait they are too old in todays eyes, but wait they only MADE MTV!
The fact that sarah silverman got up there and joked about Britney shows where its at. How about Sarah Silverman pulling a Chris Rock and saying, "Whats with the lypsynching", or "Why does MTV have a video show when they dont play videos" or say "Wow now i know why no one buys music anymore, look at most of you in this crowd". This is a TERRIBLE award show and we're not even 45 mins into it. There is way too much going on all at once and they cut performances midway through, like with Maroon 5.
