Sarah Silverman is anti-funny neutral

Exactly i said this about her awhile back when she did the same act on another MTV show and lots of people thought she was good, i was amazed. The last time MTV had an actual "funny" person on was Eddie Murphy back when he was funny, Andrew Dice Clay, but of course they banned him, and then Chris Rock who called everyone out and thats why you dont see Chris anymore.

I've never thought she was all that funny either, but tonight she was like about as funny as a plastic bag.

so far this show blows! lol

I'm not trying to be funny, but I really hope Britney doesn't do something rash after this. Her performance was poor and Sarah Silverman said AWFUL things about her! This wasn't a roast. It should have been a welcome back for Brit... even if folk were being kind to her only out of mercy. People can be so horrible sometimes. disbelief

I know cry She really did not deserve that said about her kids "they were a mistake" from her "shaven vagina". Come on now.

So far the best thing was the "Its always sunny in Philidephia" commercial.

This show is slouching toward lengendarily bad so far. lol The performances are terrible, the crowd is dead, everyone looks bad (except Alicia Keys), wack folk are winning awards. Geez.

Even Adam Levine, as pretty as that boy typically is, looked like some back alley thug. What's going on? confuse

So a clothing line is part of what makes a quad threat. That's sad.
Those others shouldn't be in Bono's category.

This shit is beyond boring.

Not only did they make up that award, they gave it to Justin of all people.

(and how is Kanye a social activist. Really. Takes more than referencing stuff).

MTV has really jumped the shark I see.

I'll have to check out highlights on Youtube. Don't have cable here and if they do rerun, I'm not sure that I'll care (I fucking hope Madonna doesn't do a surprise performance!).

The room-to-room broadcasting and performance cues has been executed poorly.

Also, the audience is either uninterested or barely audible?

I prefer the MTV MOVIE awards format.

WTF is this quadruple threat award? Isn't the whole purpose of the VMA's to honor music and music video? It's great personally for some of these artists to branch out into acting and entrepreneurship, but why should viewers give a crap about some artist's clothing line if they tuned in to watch music? MTV is going too far out there to make this awards show relevant and failing miserably! If you want to make this show more exciting, why don't you play some music videos all year round so that people can watch them and get excited about which video is the best clip on TV.

And while I love John Norris -- grew up with him even -- someone PLEASE tell him to stop borrowing Nelly's blond hair dye! Then, to make matters worse, he's getting older, which means his face is getting a bit more sunken.... and some MONSTER put smokey eyeshadow and dark eyeliner on him!!! shake He looks like a skull with blond, tossled hair!
[Edited 9/9/07 17:37pm]

I thought I was the only one who noticed the eyeshadow. He has got to stop trying to look young. It's not a good look.

I remember thinking it was shitty and awful idea when they went to Miami (and I was right...it was thematic and shit)! I was right. Are they afraid to do it in NY because of 9/11 (not because it happened, but because of the timing....I know for a while they used to put it on much earlier to avoid any disrespect or controversy). Glad I avoided it...I would say they should always do the show in NY...but I'm getting to the point of not caring at all.
