Beyonce is Jay-Z's woman and Jay-Z is the head of Kanye's label. Maybe Fiddy is pissed that now he is almost certainly going to lose that bet (barring Interscope buying like 300K copies to help him out the first week) and have to eat crow or not release another solo album...for a while. And maybe he is pissed that he had to be head to head with Kanye in the first place.

Another thought is maybe he didn't like the verison of "In Da Club" he did. Say what you will about 50 Cent, but that "In Da Club" is a great track....problem is of course he seemed to keep trying to remake it on shit like "Disco Inferno", which is probably why "the Massacare" wasn't as big a seller not to mention the fact that "Curtis" might not do well even by today's lowered standards.

I thought the VMAs were slightly confusing, really. Not bad. Maybe even better than last years. But definitely confusing. The whole "suite" concept was way too distracting, in my opinion. I think MTV should just stick to what works..Chris Rock as host, getting an artist that WILL deliver if they want, and having the setting in either Radio City Music Hall or The Met Opera House.

As for the performances..I liked Chris Browns. Britneys performance..no comment. Alicia Keys was good. The best one, in my opinion, was the combo done with Timbo, Nelly Furtado and JT.
